The only thing wrong with this is that if you think the person you listed is the songwriter then you are wrong. The song was written by Billy Edd Wheeler as was Coward of the County that Kenny Rogers recorded.

You can buy the cd of the original album that this is on. My father "accidentally" broke my record since I played it from I was about 6 until he broke it. My husband bought the CD 3 yrs ago it is hard to find but it is possible to get.

Unfortunately this song was only ever released on ONE album that Kenny put out... It was a greatest Hits 2 TAPE set and was the only new song on it... I believe it MIGHTR have been released one other time on a "Love Songs" type album he put out, but I don't know for sure... I would love to find this song again because it is my absolute favorite by Kenny Rogers...

@Mystseeker Actually there were THREE new songs on Kenny's Greatest Hits album from 1980, this one, "Lady" and "Love The World Away".

This song has only been issued on one album in the USA and is now hard to find there, since that album was eventually deleted in 2004. However, you can get it on the European double cd release "the best of kenny rogers" which contains 40 songs and is availible by online retalier amazon.com
