This song is simply magnificent. Now where are those starts, this is seriously worth a five.. oh wait the stars have been gone for years. Been on the internets for too long. Well thumbs up then (Y)
Don't know if any of you know this - but his mother took her life when he was 12 - hence, this song was written out of memory for her. Very touching and moves me to tears when I listen to it. Same with Bricklayers Daughter. I've loved William Ackerman's music for a very long time. Used to have his music on cassette and have just ordered to have on cd's because I miss listening to him. He put me in meditation. Love You William !!
A person who composes a song like this undoubdtly has found the connection with God. This piece is a road to God, the divine .. the essence of the Universe. William is so talented. There are no words to describe him. He is gracious sharing his music with others.
Wil Ackerman said that he wrote this song for his mother who commint suicide. Her innocence is what made him write such a piece. She died when Wil was in his early teens. Just so you guys listening to this can humanitize it better
gorgeous song! gorgeous imagery! and it was the last thing that played on the radio 90.7 this evening before I got out of the car so I am so appreciative I was able to find it, discover it, and relive it here with such beautiful scenery!
What an excellent interpretation of the whole thing; the music, the video;
the "death" must not be looked at in such a literal way Finallybenunderstood; the death of innocence is a time trusted literary concept; its original sin- it opens a door to love, the greatest expression, but also to pain death, loss, and is it all worth it?
He's new to my ears........ and my ears are rejoicing...Ya know, for a spirit to cross the crack between here and there, someone and comes and kills them at the entrance...Then somehow, to come back, they are given life, again...So maybe the death of a virgin spirit is a good thing.
Valerie
Having brought forth a concert here with Will in my hometown this past June, I am impressed with your skill in this song. Nice work. He's amazing and the way he performs this piece, live, is unforgettable... Work to meet him and see him play this some time.. You're going to thank me. ;)
wow. ...the Aurora lights were out of this world aaaaamazing.... THANK you for sharing that.. absolutely delightful..
i play nylon string guitars too, there has always been something special about the songs from his cd passage, i probably first heard it over 20 yrs ago and i still love the tunes just as much as i did then
the sunset goes so well with the music that was a nice touch
Wow! VERY nicely done. I've never heard it played on a nylon string before. I liked it. I loved the visuals. Did you film those yourself? Quite nice! Great job. The performance I did with Michael manring was a VERY special moment for me and I'm glad I was able to capture it on video. Thanx for stopping by and leaving me your video comment.

"Impending Death the Virgin Spirit" seems to be too harsh a title for such a lovely and bittersweet song.

love it. seems like the 'moon' rather than sun would have been a more revealing image with the title and mood of your beautiful song.

A lovely song. I'm curious about the videos, you do a great job, they complement the music so well. Have you had any copyright issues?
