This helped me a lot. I was scared of breaking the cable connectors. A small pair of sciscors helped me push out the connectors from the top.

That is a wonderfull tool set. The one fact that anoys me is that the pads on my Mpc 1000 came faulty straight from the factory now i have to buy and install this $200 Pad upgrade :s Akai needs to tighten up their quality control. Anyways nice vid

Got the tool kit at RadioShack for under 40 bucks. Good deal considering everything it comes with.
