I recently just ordered a Dv3 on HP store. I got it for $689, which includes a simple but efficient AMD QL-62 CPU, 3 GB of RAM, 320gb HDD, Windows Vista Home 64bit, 9-cell battery, Slot-loading drive, System Recovery Disc (much better than having to manually rip Windows Recovery disc's, and Cyberlink Premium Studio.
I love how the DV3 looks and the LED screen. LED is a battery saver!
About 1 week or so ago HP had some really good sales on these notebooks. I got a nice little instant rebate plus I think about 5% off because I'm attending college.
The QL-62 aren't even available on the website. RM processors are only available. <<That might be a reason why I got it a bit cheaper as well!
I really don't have any problems with my Dv3's touchpad. Everything seems pretty responsive and sensitive. I sometimes hit the scroll part on accident.
I use a Canon HF100 camera, mounted on a monopod, with the Canon shotgun microphone attachment. Glad you like the quality! YouTube still has some HD glitches though, the framerate sputters here and there.
Yeah, the dv2 is a really nice little notebook for just a bit more than a high-end netbook...and the increased graphics performance is awesome compared to any netbook on the market today.
sg prices for laptop are serioulsly overpriced...

there isn't much new things on windows 7, the media player on it is different and more complex/confusing...
i like vista ultimate more, but that's my opinion.

dv3 = HD3200
dv2 = HD3450

That's why I want to buy this one instead of the DV2, well for that, and for the dual-core processor.

According to the HP Web site, it does. I'm curious, why wouldn't you just go to HP (dot) com and configure the dv3 and answer your own question?
