@danyEVA01 Full Steel ;), apart from the barrel... it's plastic lol.. but its for practical reasons such as hopup and barrel removal. It weights in at 11.4 kilograms with battery, ammo and box.

@LPSandMore2 It's actually an mg42 with a STAR/ARES M60 a box, nowdays covered as they are on an m240. I have a mg42 box aswell but it had some feeding problems.

@DeathFeast16 Don't turn a original mg 42 into a airsoft gun buy a replica model to turn into a airsoft gun, you could sell the real deal and with the money you could buy 50 airsoft mg42s probobly more.

no, the mg42 i meant is a 58-yugo's and its already made to a model-gun in this shop and its only 350€, thats about 450$ ;-)

so what is better, build your own airsoft mg42 for about 400€ or buy this stupid shoey42 with bullshit-rate of fire for like 1,200€ :P

@DeathFeast16 I used a replica (not a deactivated gun) since it has no real steel internals, It's easier to work with in general and less modification is required. You can view my page for another video of this gun.

@BlueBig22 Hi! This is actually my gun and @IdioternaAirsoft filmed and uploaded it for me :). It's built of a ZIB militaria replica (you can google and find their website, the store itself is located in Germany)

@durgymp wich type of gearbox have u used ? can`t clearly see that. And wich parts of this gun are wielded ? I`m planning to convert one into an AEG too (from ZIB Militaria^^) but i need as many tips and tricks as possible

@Helghastdude Hi, I typed it in the comments below, AK type Version 3 is Used but you have to modify the pistolgrip in order to make it fit. I also used prowin AK hopup chamber, that version can be screwed on to the gearbox so you dont have to make an adapter for it.

PS My gun has been modified now to feed from below and it has a new ammo box.

no, sorry I mean the gearbox (AK, G36, UMP?). I know of the Inernet page about your project. I want to buy the MG42 as well, if I fit what Gearbox looking into it. I had one left over from M249

@killerpixel1987 I think any ver3 gearbox from AK would work. I used the KALASH original and then replaced most parts internal. I think a g36 might work aswell but the AK one has better motor cage.
