Love Indiana Jones...but this is the least played game in my collection....i even downloaded Indy's greatest adventures from the Wii shop....staff of kings is like Driver:Parallel lines....great concept but the controls are crap on the Wii...thinking about the new Driver-San Francisco but nearly finished Goldeneye online,at level 49 since i started it in November 2010 when it launched,so just waiting for Zelda-Skyward Sword in a few weeks

If this game is worth a rent because of the motion controls for combat then maybe perhaps the Playstation 2 version is worth a buy. Don't get me wrong, I'm saying that the Wii version is bad, just not as good when it comes to the controls.

Fate of Atlantis (1992) was revolutionary for its time. Infernal Machine (1999), Indy's first 3D, had good graphics, but comparing to Tomb Raider 4 (same year) it sucked for being slow. Emperor's Tomb (2003), on the other hand, was GREAT and made Tomb Raider 6 (same year too) look crappier than it already was. Staff of Kings (2009) is cool too, but its fight is much slower than Emperor's Tomb and the graphics are just a little better for a game made 6 years later... They can do better next time.

@benjamano101 if u dont like frusturating get indiana jones and the emperors tomb its a 2004 game, probably only like 16 bucks these days. ( i know its a little high of price but its a good game) its not very frusturating most of the time u dont have to find stuff u just finish the level sometimes u find stuff. gun view can be first person! if there is a person in front of u and u have a gun and u dont want to aim it aims automatically. its sick try it out

I have to disagree about the combat. To me it was very responsive. Rarely Indy would throw an uppercut in place of a hook but that wasn't a big deal as it never cost me a fight. That also happened to me in the Fight Night series. I thought they captured the feel of Indy's brand of brawling very well in this game, the way he'd improvise with the environment and surrounding objects along with the use of his fists and his whip.

Once when I was playing a Lara croft game I was shooting at a huge dinosaur and suddenly it froze and the only thing working was it's eyes when it blinked. Since it was a boss fight sort of thing I decided to happily laugh as a beat the crap out of it. It took ages though, but I'm grateful of that glitch.

I still didn't play this game, then my opinion is weak, but I'll say it anyway. The graphics could be better. They're not bad at all, but they are not so much better than The Emperor's Tomb, from 2003 (AWESOME GAME!), so it looks more like The Staff of Kings was made in the same year, not in 2009. About the controls, the gunfight looks very nice, but the fight with the hands looks very slow and hard. I wanna play this game so bad but the Emperor's Tomb still looks better to me, even being older.

i agree with vicwalsh, but jabbing the controllers forward didn't work very well, and was annoying. however, holding down the A button and thrusting the wii remote to throw stuff was pretty fun!

btw, once you get into the later levels, you will spend more time solving puzzles than fighting people. i loved the puzzles! i agree with wiiviewr, the puzzles felt just like the movies!
