After hearing Witchfinder General, I figured I need to check out the other Doom band from NWOBHM. I have to say I am very disappointed, Instrumentally this is some of the best doom I have ever heard, but then the singer comes in and I just cannot handle that nose plugged voice! It offsets the entire vibe, I even tried listening to Lords of Hypocracy, but the vocals ruin everything! I really wanted to like this band, but I just cannot stand those vocals!

Don't worry about it, I only just got used to King Diamond's vocals. Listen to some shit in a few months or years and your opinion might change completely.

I really like pagan altar's vocals.... instrumentally maybe witchfinder general is a bit better, but their singer has no real feeling. Pagan altar's vocals sound honestly miserable, but witchfinder general just sounds whiney. Neither rough , nor melodic... just whiney. Pagan altar has a singer who sings from the heart.
