A real young talent, gaining with her voice international fame. It's wrong to categorize Lena within some particular culture or ethnicity really. Being an Armenian, born in Damascus Lena Chamamyan combined different music traditions. It is well known that she sings almost everything - along with folk Arabic songs her repertoire includes old Armenian songs. And all this she harmonically combines into oriental jazz!!! Who could ever do this. She is unique with her voice and style.
I hope this guy who wrote these filthy words will be courageous enough to post an apology and repent from this evil doing , I forgive you and pray that the lord Jesus will forgive you too , but you should repent friend.... This is Very offensive and it is a very low moral state.... this singer is a blessed singer and her voice glorifies God , hope everyone can vote down his remark.....
How do I get In Touch with this Wonderful Singer that has a Blessed Voice ??? I have written some Arabic Christian Hymns , and I would like to see if she wants to sing any of them... anyone knows how to get to her ??????
@hellorich1 I'm a Muslim but I assumed this was a Christian hymn? I have heard Sufi poems about Alsayida Mariam but they don't say Almasih died. Or is this not a religious song at all?
@nourvex you are right the lyrics could apply to that you made me doubt what it was that made me assume the lyrics were religious and about christ whether sufi muslim or christian. Still I just googled the song and found a music review that says it is a marian christian hymn
بقوّة في ترنيمة «دعوني أجود» (لحن ليتورجي خاص بأسبوع الآلام عند المسيحيين، ويصف نصّها معاناة العذراء مريم لفقدان وحيدها)
her voice reminds me of that of Cristina Branco. A portugese artist.. Really a beauitiful voice. Chrystal clear. I was always looking for this kind of music. I really love this. Although I do not understand the words, the music grabs me. Thanks 'fadupepfl; ofr sharing this..
@infdrive Lina is amazing but as she is Armenian Christian and this song is an Arabic marian hymn, Islamic culture isn't the right description. Lina has a song about Damascus (I think she wrote it as well) in which she says 'its beauty is adorned with adhan raised to glorify the name of the creator, and the ringing of church bells call to a prayer that purifies the soul'. Hope this doesn't come across as nitpicking/negative :)
@00Juwan00 well, this is very good to know, thank you :-) when I said Islamic culture I meant the art from Arabic countries, obviously I made a mistake but this is because this music is new to me and I am very impressed. It is very good to know more and learn more, I already knew she is Armenian... and no, it isn't negative nor nitpicking :-)

Your incredible aptitude, boundless ease, and infinite harmony unite us in an optimal synergy sailing the oceans, traveling the milky way, the honey way, and all in between ways, exploring galaxies, navigating orbits, and dancing with ultimate ecstasy.
Well, Lebanese singers Julia Boutros and Majida Al-Roumi were always around to provide some relief...But yes, I agree, Lena is more than breath of fresh air, she fills an emptiness in Arabic music. I wish people knew Shadia Mansour more, but she's also not only a powerful singer, but MC's pretty well too

Let me burst into tears,
Lonely I mourn my only child
So flow, O my tears
And shed my pain
My heart is burnt for the Beloved
And my patience betrayed me
My only child died, my Beloved
So break, O my heart
