nice review dude. to me this figure and the clothings feel a bit more like a sideshow figure than a hot toys. The box and the accessories are all like hot toys, but the jacket , the hat and the pants feel a bit like sideshow quality and not hot toys. Certain angles this head sculpt does look a lot like indy. Harrison ford got a face that seems to give every sculptors problems. From hot toys, sideside to even hasbro.

@toys210 I agree the clothes don't feel like Hot Toys usual fair but not as bad as the sideshow pieces. The hat seems far better than the sideshow one IMO where as the coat is just a slight step up. You are right, no one can get Harrison Ford right but this is the best likeness so far. Not perfect but beats of it's competitors by miles.

I had the same problem with the likeness of the Christian Bale sculpt. Some angles it looks great, other angles, not so much. The pinch of the fedora is closest to Temple of doom. As for weathering you can also have a go yourself? The book is Abner Ravenwood's journal

@dinolast I've never customized before. I'm a little worried to mess up at £170 figure. Get him in a pose you like and basically never touch him as you'll see how far off the figure is. He looks great behind the Idol.

Do you mean the disney hat or the figure's hat? Indy's fedora changes throughout the films. It slightly changes from scene to scene alone in Raiders. Also, it doesn't hold shape in water usually indicating it's a poor one. In Crusade the hat holds it's shape ok.

@flakelorenz02 I was talking about the figures hat. Raider's fedora has a tighter pinch. I have a bunch of comparison pictures which I posted on Sideshow Freaks. Your regular Fedora is actually better than your Disney one

Hi mate great review as always. I got this and yes there are both pros and cons to this figure which really shouldn't be there when its supposed to be a DX figure. Lookout for my review coming soon and thanks for sharing.

@Bhritman DX really only means that it has the PERS system. I don't think Hot Toys give any more care or attention to detail to figures that are DX compared to their MMS series. There isn't even a price difference, I got this cheaper than the Mark VI Iron Man that could have easily been called DX.

I think my major flaw with the character is that it is too clean and all his clothes appear to be new. Perhaps they were trying to portray Indiana just at the start of an adventure, but that doesn't really fit with the display scenes he comes with.

@CommanderZx2 Yeah, not very acurate. My fedora isn't accurate to the Raiders one but is nearly spot on the one Harrison wore in Crystal Skull so work that out.
