I went to one with a friend. We knew it was a church thing and even with me and my buddy as atheists we'd figure we'd go anyway because another friend of ours told us that it has a lot of gore in it. And i'm a gorehound. Well... I left early. Demanded my money back (Which I did). Lamest shit ever. We even yelled out "GOD SUCKS" as we drove off just to piss 'em off. But you know the good thing? We showed up with information flyers and got the unknowing to go home!! It was AWESOME!! Funny thing, the turnout this year was weak, mostly church members, so it was good to see that the word was spread about this "haunted mansion". Mission accomplished!

I went to the Halloween Hell House in Hollywood which was a parody of the Bible Belkt Hell Houses using the same script but everybody knew what they were in for. If a real religious Helkl House misled people into thinking they were getting a real Halloween experience instead of a religious come on, then shame on them. I think most people should know what they're getting, though, just from the way it's advertised.

I've never heard of these hell houses before. In some ways its an interesting idea, although I'm surprised that the Church charged money for it. I think the destructive realities of abortion and adultery and that sort of thing would be a much more compelling case to make than over-the-top emotional theatrics though. Even so, confronting the Church and boasting/posting the video on YouTube so as to enable "hating the haters" is not a sustainable solution. Everyone is a hater now and then.

I went to the Halloween Hell House in Hollywood which was a parody of the Bible Belkt Hell Houses using the same script but everybody knew what they were in for. If a real religious Helkl House misled people into thinking they were getting a real Halloween experience instead of a religious come on, then shame on them. I think most people should know what they're getting, though, just from the way it's advertised.

...and also they do trick people in to going and thinking that it is a haunted house. when i was in high school they would hand out fliers before, after & during lunch school. its tricky because the flier shows to religious affiliation to it at all and when you get to the church all signs are covered up with "hell house" signs, so i do feel people are being deceived and tricked.

WOW this place is RIDICULOUS! I live right down the street from this church and i ALWAYS see them on street corners "preaching" and trying to get bad people to attend their church by using words such as faggot. They stand on the corner of a busy intersecting and yell such words out using loud speakers. i happened to be driving by and decided to stop by and have a conversation with one of the the guys who works for this church. he kept calling me a pervert because im gay.

I've never heard of these hell houses before. In some ways its an interesting idea, although I'm surprised that the Church charged money for it. I think the destructive realities of abortion and adultery and that sort of thing would be a much more compelling case to make than over-the-top emotional theatrics though. Even so, confronting the Church and boasting/posting the video on YouTube so as to enable "hating the haters" is not a sustainable solution. Everyone is a hater now and then.

I am not one to justify crap, but these "hell houses" are an abonination. The religious 'people' don't understand that haunted houses are for fun not civic lessons. I have personally fallen for one of these things and went ape on the manigment apon leaving. The church has NO PLACE IN THE HOLIDAY KNOWN AS HALLOWEEN.(It was a pagen holiday)

For example, homosexuality was harked against in the old testament for the fact that many nomadic tribes of Israel rarely saw other human beings, making breeding options scarce to begin with and in the new testament due to its prevalence and acceptance within the Roman Empire and its culture, especially high society, due to Rome's poor relations with Israel.

Abortions are sad no matter what the circumstance. It is not a happy occasion or something to be proud of. It is sometimes (under some extreme circumstances) very necessary. Spiritually speaking the fetus is the growing house getting prepared for the breath of life (the spirit of that child) coming into it. The breath of life does not just suddenly happen at conception anymore than the spirit is there when a person is brain dead & on a respirator. All life is to be handled carefully though.

I fell victim to this BS the night before Halloween. I got as far as the abortion scene before I had had enough!! I too confronted the person in charge and got basically the same crap and no refunds. I let them know that they could keep the lousy $10, they must be hurting for money if they need to lie to others. What "church" would act out a rape and make us endure a demonic abortion, throwing the bloody fetus at our feet (they sell a kit for this!!)..all while making us watch a split screen with a fetus having a finger shoved in its mouth and Jesus being crucified at the same time. Also abortion happens every day on this planet whether it happens by a doctor, by a dangerous unprofessional person (causing a possibility of severe injury or death to the mother) or mother nature can also cause an abortion. Natural abortions happen all the time when the body senses and knows that the growing fetus cannot continue on without severe consequences to the mother. The mothers body kills the fetus through rejection. That happens more often than you would care to realize.

Prior to entering this "Hell House" they told us they experienced people being punched in the face!! We didn't understand why....At the end it was totally understandable! I'm an adult and after experiencing this I can't get the images out of my head....imagine the children that had to watch in horror of babies heads being torn off!!! YES it happened!!
