I do think older games are harder because today's games cater to youngert audiences, casual and non-gamers, etc. There are a lot of luxuries.

I still can't beat Metroid for NES because I'm accustomed to having a map and the space jump ability and improved graphics in metroid games. I easily get lost with no map when all the rooms look so similar.

I stopped playing Typing of the Dead during training when it would say "You suck!". Hearing it a few times didn't bother me, but it would happens like dozens of times in one game and eventually I started swearing at the game. Screw you Typing of the Dead, I'm gonna play Phantasy Star Online! ... and I did.

I used to have 2 typing games. Mario Teaches Typing and All The Right Type. Can't remember what my record for the Mario game was, but in All The Right Type, I think I reached about 150 words per minute.

In elementary school typing class me and my friend always tried beating each others wpm. I think I reached 113.

At 5:18 you can hear pretty prominently the default ringtone for Android phones, with the bird tweet and drum beat loop. I've got a Tmobile G1 and I use that ringtone so when I heard it I instantly looked for my phone. Afterwards I felt silly.
