@roidroid It always depend on the quality and the max frequency you need. This one has a really poor resolution and its maximum frequency is limit to audio range. You can also get some use and cheap one on ebay for hobby under 25 Mhz should do nicely got one for 100$ on ebay.
don't oscilloscopes normally cost several hundreds of dollars?

@robot797 No I simply make those for my own and pure pleasure. Plans to build are around the net for free and the cost to build those is under 50$.
