Joe is a really good guitar player, but SRV is simply the devil!!! , I never thought I would say this, being myself a 80's heavy metal guitar hero worshipper, but if I was Joe Satriani I would never place face to face with a player like SRV
At 1:51 Joe vibrates a B note on the 7th fret first string, but for some reason that note sounds like a G# (9th fret 2nd string or 4th fret 1st string). Strange...
Hendrix was asked who he thought was the best guitarist, he said " I don't hold a candle to Phil Keaggy " check him out then you decide if Hendrix was right.
what the fuck is this; who's better? It's not the Joe vs Stevie show ya dolts! They are both great at what they do. He's just playing a cover. And mind you he does a great job at it! I personally like it better than Jimi's, my opinion.....

jon butchers version is way better and to the hendrixs haters who doesyour favorite guitarist idolize?? thats right hendrix so even if you dont like him you hear him through your current music to day you just have to pull your head out of your a**

To everyone calling satch a shredder wake up to yourselves yes he can play with great technique but that doesnt make him a shredder. He writes music not to try and show off simply hes a guitarist who can shred but only during qppropriate times. His music has multitudes of emotion in it with an amazing sense of melody and dynamics and to say srv is in a league way above hims also ignorant as they have different styles. Musics not a competition either so just chill out and enjoy it.
True: Beauty is in the ear of the beholder, but be honest and listen---this was not good. And SRV just plain had much more soul and feel. Satriani played some cool stuff, but he's not in SRV's league. I really liked "Surfing with the Alien", though.
@midrangesupport what the fuck are or arn't u smoking lol this is an excellent cover! but we can all expect this much from someone who knows dick all about music... true music
This is what followed SRV´s performance? Pathetic...He made these guys look like school recital playing kids. I know music is not a competition, but still..
everyone stop saying someone kicked the shit out of someone else, there is not best...hendrix wasn't the best because there is no best...its music its no competition everyone shut up
for one.. the show ran on a network schedule..for two.. it's unrehearsed. makes for a more pure performance.. some people havn't been on the planet long enough to know the difference between what they like and don't like....shame.
Thanks. What a lack of taste that they start rolling the credits and he´s not even finished playing, that is like going to a party and somebody starts emtpying ashtrays and picking emtpy glasses, sort of a "ok please leave now" feeling. Satriani is an amazing player.
Funny jimmi thought his voice was horrible..not so..joe is not a singer, but he tried..no one does it like jimmi
