As a young Polish woman from Canada who had her noble military family slaughtered and displaced in WWII and grew up with that tarnished legacy, I am grateful and honoured that our people are mentioned. Yeah there are some things that ya don't know. And yes, this girl from Warsaw in the song is a Universal symbol for all innocents who's names, families and lives for generations to come were ruined by war and hate crime, etc. MIA is a hero to me as a human being and inspiration to me as trainer.
