are you joking? When is the last time a Canadian fought for a world championship boxing title? How did Donny Lalonde do against A WAY over the hill Sugar Ray Leonard? I could pull any black out of Gary Indiana (Donald Brashear for example) and just have them whip up on Canadians! Who are the best black fighters in the NHL? I know your comment was a year ago. Now, Brashear (McGrattan [not black] beat his ass and Brashear was afraid after that) and LaRaque are gone. Laraque was a wrestler more than a fighter. His size and strenghth won him a lot of his fights. Not a great fighter. Iginla is tough, but not an elite fighter. Dwayne Simmonds, I haven't seen too much of. I really don't think they stack up to Orr, Parros, Thornton, Shelley, Janssen, or Konopka.

Donald has fought Orr 6 times & won them all. He's also one of the few men to have bloodied Derek Boogaard. He was 6-0 against McSorley, & beat Probert multiple times. And what do Simmons & Iginla have to do with this? They're skilled players not fighters! Would you compare Patrice Bergeron to Brashear? No, you idiot!

@BoSoxnation1972 Blacks play hockey in American. Mostly in Minnesota and Detroit has an all-black hockey team (or more?). However, blacks don't like the cold. That's why they don't play hockey. That, and they don't understand it. They just don't like ice skating or can't do it because of the cold. Although,we are all of African origin, their most recent ancestors were acclimated to the heat of the savannah. What NHL team would want a player that can't skate? You're being silly.

Blacks make up 12% of the US population & historically an even lower % in Europe & Canada. Therefore mathematically, 1 in 8 heavyweight champs should be black. Klitchkos & Valuev are the first legit white champs since Marciano with dozens of black champs in between.

Blacks don't sakate for geographic & economic reasons dummy.

Its more than that though man, its an integral part of the game.... are you not canadian? I find american fans have a bit harder time with it, just because they dont understand its purpose. But believe me when I tell you that its neccesary... If they werent allowed to fight, there would be a lot more serious injurys, because the players would resort to dirty 2 handed axe chops to the head to get payback....

yes, but fighting in hockey is completely voluntary. some will argue otherwise, but in truth you never NEED to fight, you can back off like Lapiere always does, or have another player take the fight.
