@rougeninja99 if you have the tank then it will take as long as you take to get to a hard where store ssnd just thred and solder all the fittings together
@SpoonfullofSandrock air based fuels will not give you any range at all! a gasoline mix is better than that if you want dissolve some sophomore in it so you have a thin batch of napalm
@SeanTuckerBrett ys you can use pvc but that will blow up under too mutch presher you can make one if you can weld or you can probably get a steel tank meant for a small air compreser maby on ebay as a "replenishment tank"
@kyledupont when you are low and the air gas ratio is just right yes it can shoot into the tank and blow up 1 cup of gas is = to one stick of tnt but thats rare but on mine i am using a propane tank to presherise the whole thing but leveing it attached so it should give me panty of psi and propane isn't flammable when it isnt mixed with air and there will be no O2 in my tank
The only problem i see is the fuel, gasoline is great and all but if you thicken it to a napalm, you can get more distance momentum, less likely to be effected by wind. You would just need a pump instead of pressure tanks but if the napalm wasn't too thick you could probably use the tanks.
What kind of hose did you use between the tank and the gun? It would have to deal with both pressure and gasoline. Did you use hydraulic couplers (aeroquip) for the connection of the hose to the gun? Or is it a large air coupler?
The tank you are using looks like a scott air pak 2216 psi rated.
Is it all aluminum or aluminum/fiberglass composite?
I know that a fiberglass hoop wrapped scott air pak can be used... but I wonder for how long?
Do yo suppose that the thin shell aluminum with composite wrapping would have any problems with corrosion or material porosity causing weakness over time?
QUESTION.. ok so ur air compressor is mounted onto the 'gun' or is it just used to compress the gas and then removed. If it is mounted on what size did u have?
Actually the back tank holds the Gas and then is charged by an air compressor. there is no compressor on the flamethrower. it is just a tank with gasoline and compressed air like a big supersoaker
orr ok that makes sense... so the air compressor fitting is placed to allow the air compressor to charge the gasoline? but shouldn't it have a valve after the air compressor fitting to avoid the pressure to ' be lost'
I thought I mentioned that in the video if not then yes immediately after the air compressor fitting you need a ball valve so you can shut off the fitting wen you remove the air hose
Aren't you afraid of the fuel and compressed air in the tank exploding like a bomb? I mean you've got all the components for an explosion. All you need is a spark. Shouldn't you compress it with nitrogen or co2 or at least have a check valve?
A check valve is pointless as flame cannot travel against the back pressure within the tank. Plus there is no way to create a spark within the tank except to hit it with lightning.
um how long will it take to make it?

If you're REALLY going to make a flamethrower, you don't want to make one with Gasoline.
Use a propane / butane mix, that works best.

@MrStemkilla I've had much better luck with my gas mix than with a gasoline blend.

Do you know where I can get a oxygen tank or just any used tank for a flamethrower for cheap??
-Thanks

@SeanTuckerBrett Use PVC or an Insecticide tank.
That could be your best bet. ;)

Is there ever a chance that the flame could crawl up the propellant, or gasoline, back into the tank?

@th3boy75 just make red neck napalm with styrofoam but keep it weak so you can still use tanks ind its not as exspensive

I'm kinda confused as to how to actually construct this, I couldn't really understand you, what materials do I need?

Yeah, but if you like dropped the tank into a fire, it could make it explode...
