ok guys. what she is calling a "curry comb" is a shedding blade. shedding blades can be circles, rectangles or tear drop and have a handle usually. if you look at a rubber curry comb, you will see it has a back. shedding blades do NOT have a back so the shedded hair will just fall out of the blade instead of packing itself into the brush (this happens with curry combs). there are metal curry combs out there, but they are for cleaning brushes that have bristles, such as a dandy brush.
@horseluvr63 nope, it's dandy brush then body brush. the dandy brush has stiff bristles used for removing dirt, and is used after the curry comb. the body brush has softer, finer bristles that are used to make the the coat shine and is used to finish off the horse. curry comb, dandy brush, then body brush.
im sorry to rain on your parade, but no. you are wrong, it was meant for horses to loosen the dirt and hair. thier is metal curry comb but looks different, although, its not called a shedding blade.
@loafofbread5800 So sorry just said that because i didnt want to be mean and say " well thats not a curry comb you should know that " so i was being nice you should try it. I'm only 11.
