The income tax is legal, and Congress does not have to apportion the revenue to the states. The Sixteenth Amendment authorized Congress to collect an income tax in 1913. Federal tax money cannot be used to fund or subsidize abortions except under very limited circumstances.

16th wasn't properly ratified. Income tax is a direct tax. Those who voted it in vacated their office when they broke their oath to protect & defend the constitution since they committed insurrection against their chair.

I never agree that the income tax is "legal". I just pay it because I don't want people to point guns at me or my family.

Anyone can walk in a hospital and get treated now, and I'm fine with that, but to insure their every health need, when they can budget for it themselves, is not my responsibility. Once you start saying "everyone needs essential services" then the scope of what's "essential" grows. A house, college, health insurance, what's next, cellphones and cable TV? It's not about "selfish".

@martinimix79 Because in the USA we pass bills sold on false promises to muster up support. Our HC bill has nothing to do with insuring people, everything to do with control. Since it's signing, people are losing coverage, not gaining it. Premiums are going up, not dropping, and it's not even in force yet. Gov't involvement lowers quality and raises costs, and don't act like the Can. HC system is all that great, we know it's not.

How is private insurance not the same as socialism? If you stay healthy and don't use your health insurance and I get very sick and use all mine then the Insurance company is going to use your health dollars on my sickness.

The government is forcing us at gunpoint to get mandatory health insurance that they feel is good enough for them.

Maybe I won't feel the need to have an insurance company. Maybe, instead, I'd just save money. Maybe I'd get together with a group of friends, buy tax deferred bonds, and write up an agreement on what constitutes a medical emergency, and create a pool for medical expenses - except the government doesn't allow that, they consider ALL money transactions taxable unless you're a big company...

The 16th Amendment gives our evil government the right to take any amount of taxes from anyone. "The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration." Like it says in our 16th Amendment (which I believe in itself to be unconstitutional) "without apportionment". So we must get rid of the 17th Amendment or they will always have an argument against us.

But there is a difference - NOT that I justify these unconstitutional invasions.

Wars are w/ govts. The people could try to resist and/or defend themselves. (ie. Gandhi against Britain, or chunk rocks if nothing else)

With abortion, the baby has no chance of defense, no say so in the matter, and their right to LIFE (liberty/pursuit of happiness) is constitutionally violated.

But IN EITHER case, no more taxes for me. Not for wars, not for abortions.

1) Forcing everybody to get health care

2) Obama is hiring his own private small army that was plugged into the health care bill.

3) 17,000 New IRS agents that will be policing the health care bill.

4) The minimum requirements of insurance.
