Man-400 HP used to be alot-now cars are coming stock with that much! The trans-ams ans z28s of 10 years ago were FAST-and they had just over 300HP. The viper of 1996 had 450HP--and was a 60k$ car. Now the mustangs, camaros and other much cheaper cars could just about hang with them. This GT would probly beat a stock C5 LS1! Can't wait to see what'll happen in another 5 years

If you like the new 5.0,get a roush supercharger and still keep the warranty,I myself love the new motor,Ford did great on that,but i'm sorry,the new body style really stinks,they could have made the back more aggresive with some 67 shelby tailights and did away with all that plastic ground effects,the front isnt too bad and also the sides,but it's the back that needs some work.I still love the 05-09 style alot better.

I don't like the new body style either, they made the front ugly, the taillights weird, and added too much plastic. The interior, handling, and new features are great though. I would rather get a used 2005 Mustang GT for dirt cheap and do a 5.0L engine swap and get a better suspension system.
@devster117 those rear lights are supposed to be a throwback to the old mustangs of the past, as in they double as turn signals, they are sequential as in the center lights outward light up to "point" the way your gonna go
Buy a used GT like I did an 06 with 3,000 miles,for $18,200,I put $8,700 into it with a supercharger ,headers ,exhaust,and cams,and I got me a power pony with 578 HP for way less then a new GT and a Shelby GT500.And better looking,I hate the new body style,especially the cheap ass plastic on the bottom sides and back,so weak looking.

As usual Greed overtakes any sanity in the marketplace.Not only are these greasy scum-bag dealers charging a premium on V-8 Mustangs but it's almost impossible to find a V-6 without a bunch of worthless overpriced crap options --- making a V-6 in Canada costing in the mid 30 grand ---- bunch of lousy butt munchers---

Man-400 HP used to be alot-now cars are coming stock with that much! The trans-ams ans z28s of 10 years ago were FAST-and they had just over 300HP. The viper of 1996 had 450HP--and was a 60k$ car. Now the mustangs, camaros and other much cheaper cars could just about hang with them. This GT would probly beat a stock C5 LS1! Can't wait to see what'll happen in another 5 years

I am a fan of both camaro and mustang. I am a LS1 camoro owner. and I have been tweeking that LS1 for 6 yrs its a fucking monster! the only stock part on the engine is the block and valve covers. Ive raced several shelby super charged GT500's ive never lost. I wanted to give this mustang a warm welcome. no shelby badges. I love it, just a big 5 OH badge

If you like the new 5.0,get a roush supercharger and still keep the warranty,I myself love the new motor,Ford did great on that,but i'm sorry,the new body style really stinks,they could have made the back more aggresive with some 67 shelby tailights and did away with all that plastic ground effects,the front isnt too bad and also the sides,but it's the back that needs some work.I still love the 05-09 style alot better.

I don't like the new body style either, they made the front ugly, the taillights weird, and added too much plastic. The interior, handling, and new features are great though. I would rather get a used 2005 Mustang GT for dirt cheap and do a 5.0L engine swap and get a better suspension system.

@devster117 those rear lights are supposed to be a throwback to the old mustangs of the past, as in they double as turn signals, they are sequential as in the center lights outward light up to "point" the way your gonna go

Buy a used GT like I did an 06 with 3,000 miles,for $18,200,I put $8,700 into it with a supercharger ,headers ,exhaust,and cams,and I got me a power pony with 578 HP for way less then a new GT and a Shelby GT500.And better looking,I hate the new body style,especially the cheap ass plastic on the bottom sides and back,so weak looking.

I completely agree, the 05-10's are drop dead gorgeous- great proportions and styling. I just noticed the fenders on the new ones, they do seem to have less flare than the previous generation, too bad
