How much of all this trouble would be avoided if science were taught heirarchically -- starting from history, explaining at every step how we first figured out what we know? As it is, everything in a science class is taught by saying, essentially, "take my word for it, this fact/idea/equation/theory is true." In this way, evolution LOOKS like just another faith.
