  • Trevor Hoffman had the best change up ever. Mariano Rivera has the best cut fastball ever and both are clearly two of the best pitchers of all time. Nobody will give Hoffman the same accolades as Rivera, but they are really #1 and #2 and whoever #3 is is not even close to them.

  • Living in San Diego... I cannot listen to this song without remembering Hoffy!!! See you in the Hall of Fame!!!

  • I get chills everytime i hear the song Hells Bells. AC/DC is the bomb

  • Sorry to break to all you haters, but Trevor Hoffman is the greatest closer. He reached over 600 saves and the majority was with a team that's never won a world series, he could got at least 100 extra saves if he was with a team like the Yankees, but it just shows how loyal he was. People don't understand the feeling that came over the stadium when he would come in, it just gives you chills. Plain and simple, one of the greatest pitchers of all time.

  • false mariano rivera is the best and will break trevor hoffmans saves record next year. almost every year mariano has almost 40 saves with a era under 2, and he gets it done in the postseason, trevor fucks up in the postseason or when the game really counts, 98 WS game 3 or 07 one game playoff between padres & rockies for example. and not to mention mariano is playing in New York, theres so much more pressure pitching in New York than pitching in San Diego. i respect hoffman but rivera is better

  • 9 People struck out on a Change

  • represent

  • Ahhh... miss these days, when baseball was my favorite sport, when people cared about baseball, when the padres were good, when the stadium was full...

  • Too bad he left San Diego T.T

  • When I was 15-16 (i'm 26 now), went to san diego and saw trevor hoffman....what a great memory... one of the two best closers of all time...

  • ...

  • I miss this. It was my favorite part of going to a Padres game.

  • who in all his sanity can dislike this? D:

I remember back in 2004, Dodgers fans used to tell me Gagne was going to break the All-time saves record, and he was going to be around a lot more than Hoffman. LOL!

  • I think if Tervor Hoffman would've been on a better team then the Padres for most of his career he probably would be more notable like Mariano Rivera is. Nice entrance probably one of the best but it's not as intimidating like Enter Sandman

  • @Issack18 How is Hells fucking Bells less intimidating than Enter Sandman?

  • @Issack18 more notable?? the man is the all-time career saves leader. Every save he gets is history. Mariano Rivera can't even say that

  • @voomvoompartystarter listen Mariano Rivera is the greatest closer of all time and its not even close. Who else can say they've been on the mound at the end of 5 world series? That cutter is the greatest pitch of all time. Nobody knows how to hit it.

  • @bbri1991 The numbers show differently.

  • @Issack18 Please man, Enter Sandman is played at just about every sporting event around, it was a good song but now it's just as watered down and boring as Crazy Train. Considering the situation, Hells Bells was original and there's no way Enter Sandman comes close.

  • I was at this game i was in the little area were the peolpe are standing at the fence in right-center field. i was the closest to the wall on the left. Also Brewers are terrible

  • It's no Enter Sandman.

  • holy crap.....one word scary.

  • yay!!! AC/DC rocks! breaking balls all over the world!

  • go padres

  • ACTIVE LEGEND. catch him @ a ballpark near you while you can. Just to think how many more saves if his career was on winner like the yanks. 100 + more saves ??

  • Trevor Hoffman is the balls

  • He is Future Hall of Famers

  • Mariano and Hoffman are the two best closers ever. Plus, they both have the most epic entrance music

  • Exactly

  • @BEAGLEBOY1555 lets not leave out chase utley and his entrance song

  • @BEAGLEBOY1555 Trevor Hoffman isn't even in the top 5 closers of all time. He blew literally every big save situation of his career. He is the right handed John Franco.

  • @RichieD814 why don't you shut the fuck up and die? Trevor is way better than any of your piece of shit top 5 choices, Trevor did it all with a team that wasn't familiar with the post season, every time he went out to close out a game he worked his ass off, while guys like Mo were gauranteed to save because his team was always winning by like 5 runs, no one likes fags like you who just troll and have no life, people like you should get smacked upside the head with a bat for being so ignorant

  • @guitarmagic95 Why don't you shut the fuck up and learn about baseball? You can't get credited with a save when you're up by 5 runs you moron. Any opinion you have is automatically irrelevant. You fail at life.

  • @RichieD814 no duh idiot i know u can't be up by 5 and get a save, im exaggerating, im saying that Trevor worked harder to get to where he is, and guys like Mariano didn't have to work as hard because they usually come up with around 3 runs to get the save, and I didn't mean to be messed up to you, its just the Trevor's number got retired and all that excitemeant got me mad at whoever didn't agree that Trevor is one of the best

  • @guitarmagic95 Trevor Hoffman blew every important save in his career. Mariano, with the exception of 3, converted every important save of his career (and there were many more of them.) I would say Mariano worked harder than Hoffman.

  • @RichieD814 I credit Mo because he came from humble beginings, and he has worked to be where he is today, but i mean look at Trevor, he's worked hard his entire life as well, he went from being a nobody to being one of the best closers of our generation, sure he blew some important save opportunties, but that doesn't take away the fact that he was one of the best closers, he has worked just as hard as Mo, and if you do't have anything good to say I suggest you stop trolling

  • brad lidge has a pretty awesome entrance in citizens bank with drowning pool but trevor needs to go back to the padres i think

  • EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You're insane dude Enter Sandman is good but it's so over played, same thing that happened to Crazy Train

  • Its overplayed cause everyone stole the idea from Frank Beamer and Va Tech get your own schtick

  • Rivera in Yankee stadium is the best

  • Rivera and Hoffman are in a class of their own.

I think they both have a good chance at 600 saves.

  • That's just badass. No matter how you put it.

  • brewers fans get super crazy

  • who cares about milwauke he needs to come back to SAN DIEGO!!!!!!!

  • yeah!!!!

  • Damn right we do ^^

  • wow the only thing thats missing is he needs to be a yankee playin hells bells at yankee stadium sheesh! thats what im talkin about

  • No, what we need is fewer great players selling their souls by playing for the yankees.

  • Agreed. Jeter may the only good one out of them.

  • that is so true

  • i thought riveras entrance was awesome but this is fuckin great .

  • My 9 year old went to the Brewers' game with a buddy and couldn't stop talking about Trevor Hoffman's entrance to *@#;s Bells! It's the best entrance ever.

  • got nothing on rivera. period.

  • best entrance in baseball

  • Hes by far my favorite player. its good to see him in the Brewers uniform

  • 12/12/

  • He's probably my favor Brewers pitcher!

    11/11

  • i WAS AT,S

  • He looks better in a Brewers uniform! lol 9/9 in saves this year!

  • 13/13 now : )

  • this isnt even at miller park

  • Nope...this was at PETCO Park in San Diego.

  • Its at petco park in SD, miller park dosen't have the trevor time thing

  • yea we do....

  • he played for the padres....until they basically shit on them....so milwaukee picked him up just this year :) and he rocks

  • Jake Peavy is gonna look nice in his Brewers uni.

  • CUBS SUCK btw :)

  • trevor hoffmann looks great in a brewers uniform

  • Damn its good to see him in a brewers uniform

  • Welcome to Milwaukee Trevor

  • I thought trevor hoffman played for the indians not the padres

  • yikes man, all time save leader over 15 years with the padres and ur screwing him up with travis hafner

  • Yupp thanks man

  • he just threw me his warmup ball from the bull pen today b4 getting his 1st save as a Brewer! go Trevor

  • I dont think it was a save the brewers were up by 5?

  • oops, yeah you were right, there was no save, but he still came in and pitched the 9th inning and it was pretty sweet

  • Can't wait until the 1st Hell's Bells at Miller Park!

  • It was pretty amazing. sent chills up my spine

  • Just happened the other day. They played that song loud as hell too.

  • Fuckin Hoffman's back this weekend, go Brew Crew!

  • trevor hoffman is my friends uncle!!!

    dylan and drake

  • no way,i hate to say this but trever can stay with the brewers

HEATH FUCKIN BELL!!!!!!! has already made his 7th save

  • Yea! Heath Bell > Hells Bells

  • COME BACK TREVER !!!!!!!!!

  • Nobody has better reactions for when they enter a game more than Hoffman and Rivera.

  • Comment removed

  • nothing beter than baseball and good ROCK N ROLL!!!!

  • AC/DC yeeaaahh

  • hey i;m from s.d. and i am soooo sad that he went to milwakee

  • & I'm from Wisconsin & glad he came to Milwaukee. but he will always be remembered for what he did in SD. Kinda like Favre didn't start or end his carrer in Green Bay, but any & all meaningful game he played was there.

any way The Hoff is one of the best closers of any generation & I'm excited to watch him pitch for the Brew Crew

  • I love that guy. Makes me so sad hes gone with the brewers

    :"(

  • This makes me happy - I'm in Milwaukee.

  • he better pick up where CC left off

  • Hoffman is a closer not a starter dumb ass...

  • how would he do that when hes just a closer?

  • Comment removed

  • HELL. YES! GOOOOO BREWERS!!!!!

  • Hope he loves Mil-town because we already love him

  • I hope this SON OF A BITCH NAMED JOHN MOORES BURNS IN HELL

  • Hoffman has signed a one year contract with the Milwaukee Brewers. :( the end of an era

  • or the beginning, if you're from MilTown

  • Welcome to Milwaukee Trevor!!

  • i've only seen 1 Hoffman save (i'm in NY) and I like when the gong goes off when he strikes someone out. That makes Hell's Bells one of the coolest "themes".. but I think he should wait until the guitar comes in before coming out of the bullpen. It'll be like wrestling haha

and c'mon, Mariano and Enter Sandman don't mix.. i bet he doesn't even listen to that stuff

  • if you understood mariano's demeanor on the mound, you'd understand why enter sandman fits perfectly for him.

  • I think "Yoda" by Wierd Al's a better fit.

  • i think all these Mariano fans need to check the record books. Trevor has more saves with a far worse team. Leading the all time saves list.

  • The record books I see show more saves for Rivera where it counts - big games. World Series, Playoffs, grudge games, etc. There is no closer in the history I'd rather see on the mound in the 9th with everything on the line.

Trevor has a history of not coming through in huge games. Anyone can pile up a lot of saves against a large league with many weak teams. When Hoffman has 4 rings on his fingers, come talk to me.

  • Hoffman sux dick, he never got a big save in his whole life!! Brosious took his ass deep in the WS and that was a nice performance in that 1 game playoff in 07

  • I'm an Astros fan.

Whenever I hear those bells at the beginning of that song, I get horrible, horrible nightmares of those 98 playoffs. Damn, that should have been our year to have a World Series in the Dome.

Trevor's still my favorite closer ever, nontheless, with the best entrance in baseball.

  • """se encienden las luces, suenan las campanas,es tiempo de trevor, trevor d la suerte""

  • Trevor Time is way beter then Rivera, they have extra elite guys come out when he comes, and everyone goes crazy!!!!

  • This is the thing I will miss the most when Trevor is gone, which will undoubtedly be this year. Padres management sucks.

  • nice video, second best entrance song, first goes to enter sandman for Mariano Rivera, not that fake named Billy Wagner

  • do the research, Wagner had the song before Mariano did.

  • yea i know but mariano is way better than wagner and he is the sandman. hes second in active closers in saves, and billy wagner sucks, especially with the mets

  • mariano is the best closer of all time. but still, the song doesn't fit him. he doesn't even speak english. Imagine if Trevor Hoffman came out to La Bamba.... yeaaah that's what Mariano is to Enter Sandman

  • He is not the sandman, shut the hell up

  • he just does

    he sucks

  • hoffman not rivera there for not the best. and if you cant say why super mario sucks than dont bother to speak

  • mariano rivera sucks!!!!

  • second best to none other than mariano rivera and his enter sandman

  • hes good and his entrance is cool but nothin like mariano

  • trevor hoffman graduated from my school! savanna highschool

  • trevor hoffman's older brother teaches special ed at Lexington Jr High in California, please believe me, nobody does

  • Best entrance ever ok maybe 2nd only to ricky "wild thing" vaughn

  • trevor hoffman is just another brett favre, have all the regular season records but when it comes to the playoffs hoffman chokes, you cant debate that try me... ask scott brosious.

  • Haha

    worrd.

    Still an amazing closer, though.

  • wait.....lolol why do they announce his name 5 minutes after hahaha

  • I love that

    it creates excitement.

  • hoffmans great. mo's better. woot

  • jets fan is a dumbass it means lauging my ass off. go padres!

  • LOL!!! jetsfan's response and your response to that crack me up

  • too bad the Rocks came up and screwed him over. Go Rockies!!

  • what the hell does IMAO stand for

  • in my opinion

  • Laughing my ass off.

  • Best enrtrance in the history of Baseball!! Not even a Pad squad fan but I give credit when credit is due.Trevor time is the shit!!!!

  • why would u comment on a vid u didnt even watch u stupid fuckhead!

  • i was there.

  • you clearly have no idea what your talking about because in 2005 mo had 43 saves, a 1.38 era, and a .87 whip and was 2nd in the cy young award voting and also should have won...and he was ninth in mvp voting that year...and if he could tear up the al east, wat happened in 98? scott brosius was too much to handle? try A-Rod at third now

  • was about to post this until you replied....lmao at mo's never been close

  • i went to san diego for a padres game JUST to see Hoffman close it out. The atmosphere in the stadium when Hell's Bells played was outstanding. it's more chilling than the Undertaker's entrence.

  • I saw this for the first time last year, it's like nothing else in the game...

  • I may be a DODGERS fan, but when Trevor comes into a game down there in SD, I get chills like never before...maybe it's because of the bells at the start of "HELLS BELLS"

  • Dodgers still SUCK!!!

  • hey i was so there!

    summer of '07

    great times

    ha but padres lost

    but the game was funn

  • why are you watching this then? you're pathetic.

  • I remember a few years ago, Red Sox were playing Padres in Petco. They skipped the usual commercial break to show Hoffman making his entrance. From that day, I adopted the PAdres as my second favorite team. It was incredible watching the fan response, with Hell's Bells blaring to top it off.

  • Trevor tied the record on my birthday!!!!!!!!!1

  • Has to be one of the best intro's of all time. Nothing beats hearing those bells and Angus's guitar.

  • Enough with this choking thing they're both great athletes. ppl only ever talk about the home runs but both rivera and hoffman have played in over 750 games and each thrown over 15,000 pitches. every now and then one of them is gonna hang and get tagged. its baseball

  • That's SO true... this whole "Who's Better than Who" thing is just riduculous... Both Hoffy and Rivera will end up side by side in the Hall of Fame anyways...

And whoever ends up with the record, somebody else will come in later and break it...

I think Hoffman is the National League's Rivera, and Rivera is the American league's Hoffman... their teams and their situations are so different, but yet they have so many similarities... both have suceeded and failed in the same way!

  • i saw one of his 478 saves, when Trevor Time went onto the scoreboard it was pretty sick...but Mariano will still be better than him when all is said and done

  • Shut Up everybody trevor Hoffman Rulez I was there

  • If you guys want evidence as to whose better look to the '98 world series. Rivera might have given up one hit, while my man Scotty Brosius single handedly destroyed good ol' Trevor.

  • Hoffman and Rivera don't belong in the same sentence

  • Your right because hoffman is a lot better

  • haha, no way.....do you really think Hoffman could handle the AL East the way Rivera can?

  • He would tear the AL East up don't forgot he should have won the Cy young 2 years ago and Mo's never even been close

  • LOCCZCARDZ you are one stupid person. Mo was 3rd in cy young voting in 96,99 and 04, he was 2nd in 05, also Trevor faces pinch hitters instead of a full time hitter like Rivera faces. Pinch hitters have less at bats so full tim hitters are actually used to batting unlike some pinch hitters who might just forget some tricks to batting, or at least batting against Hoffman. Rivera owns Hoffman without a doubt. for supporting evidence go read "Who's better, Who's best in Baseball" by Elliott Kalb

  • Hoffman and Rivera DO belong in the same sentence... They both have suceeded and they both have failed... But they're both associated with GREATNESS!! and they'll both be Hall of Famers eventually!

Rivera has had more postseason sucess because his team has given him more chances... and Hoffman has more saves, because he's been a closer longer... But whenever they have a save situation, both MO and Hoffy know how to NAIL IT, and 99% of the time they DO nail it!

  • AMEN

  • Hells Bells is the better entrance song than Enter Sandman but Rivera is a much, much, much better closer than Hoffman..... Hoffman has never saved a big playoff game while Rivera well.... hes the greatest postseason closer in history even with his blowups vs. the Indians and Boston

  • That's why he's got 100 less saves right? Postseason is all luck and chance. He also got a lot more chances than Hoffman in the postseason because they yankees bought themselves to the postseason every year Rivera was there. Hoffman is the better player. There's no question, look at all the stats, all of them favor Trevor.

  • Your judging by stats, take a better look at who trevor faces, NL batter suck ass!! No doubt he a great closer buy Mo is way better. Go Yankees. Matter of fact, padres are going to the bronx this year, we'll see what hes made of!!

  • Your MO is not perfect either! Remember the big choke he had on Game 7 of the 2001 WS against the D-backs... not only did he blew the save, but he took the HUGE loss...

Not to mention the BIGGEST CHOKE in History against the Red Sox, Remember DAVE ROBERTS? That's where it all started!

I bet if Hoffy were a Yankee he would've had 600 saves by now, because Hoffy still has the best saves percentage of closers with 150 or more career saves...

Yes, MO is great! but don't discredit Hoffy!

  • what are you drunk, are you off your meds, nobody in the last 10 years has been as dominating as rivera. Chokes, how bout hoffman in the 98 world series, giving up a grand slam to brosious. Rivera blew one game against the red sox in that 04 series, tru they had three other games to win it, so thats unfair. Rivera is usually money in the post season and has the best numbers ever as a reliever in the post season. Rivera is better than hoffman, hoffman more saves but not many important ones.

  • Trevors also played more years.... and the postseason is about being CLUTCH..... yes Rivera has had more chances but Hoffman has blown every chance he's even had.... Hoffman has nothing compared to the great Mariano who would have broken his record but wasnt a closer when he first came up and Hoffman has been at it more years.... check your facts dumb*^%&

  • Go Yankees!!

  • YAAAA go padres!!!

  • Mo Who???

Imagine what Hoffy would've done while backed up by a lineup built by NY-Style payroll. "Mo" is some boat refugee, Trevor is the son of a U.S. Marine who fought at Iwo Jima.

    'Nuff said...

  • 1) In possibly one of his biggest save chances, Hoffman shit the bed against Colorado. 2) What does Trevor Hoffman's father's military service have to do with the quality of pitcher he is compared to Rivera being from Panama?

  • u have no idea wat your talkin bout. mo= greastest ever. Enter the sandman. mo puts players to sleep fuk paplebombed

  • your a real dumbass arent you? why are you talking about a lineup? usually the closer only comes in to get the "SAVE" not the loss like trevor did against the rockies! calling mo a refugee is just stupid. Im a Mexican born US Military service member who fought in Iraq, what have you done for this country? racist piece of shit!
