OMG you little sneak, getting the Serum from the top level! I had to plan jumping down, grabbing it and then escaping... And I honestly thought you were dead when that staff member walked into you in the Staff Tower. What happened to you in the lift? That was kinda weird. Also I don't remember you finding the infor about the hag in the nursery. Hmm... ¬¬
@MountainPeak11 Haha, I have always been sneaky and will continue to be! I thought I was dead many of times, and I was right when I died from the inmates! I think Garret hit something physical going up the lift as I was pressed against the wall. Since there is no squishing in this game, the elevator just reverts back to its default position (being down) Still scared the crap out of me though!

I don't know how you play games like this and Amnesia, I'd probably cry and start spamming arrows and shit halfway in haha. But wow, even watching you play this mission was thrilling, and it's definitely one of the creepiest things I've seen in a game. Thank god you decided to record it. Though when first reading up on it, I sorta spoiled some of the things, so my own run went alright. Other than one of the Puppets jumping back up at me right after a backstab. Those guys can actually killed by two bottles of Holy Water. By the way, where'd you get that mouth cover thing?

I later found out they could be killed by holy water, I only threw one though. I think you can kill them with like 9 flash bombs too. I got the mask (along with the textures) from the offical thief 3 mod. It's a texture overhaul and you can choose what garret looks like from like 3 costumes!
out of the many videos ive seen of this mission yours is the only one that truly conveys how scary it is. well done for getting through it all in one sitting, especially at one in the morning. thats not something i could do

I'm a couple months late in commenting on this, but boy is this section ever spooky. A silent caster is a good sign of a scary game. I bought this a while back based purely on the premise that it belongs on the list of "scariest video game moments". There's a small collection of games on my computer and a specially named category just for "Spooky Shit" like this. I have yet to work my way through any of those games, because I need to be able to devote several nights in a row to do it right.

I'm sorry one more comment (I comment throughout movies, sorry!); the ONE thing that disappointed me is that when you originally got on that elevator to the seclusion chamber (the first room in White Hall), you fell out of the elevator before you got a chance to go up. It's REALLY creepy there and you hear the scariest laugh I've ever heard on the way up, but you didn't reach that point before you fell. I was all tense, "here it comes, here it comes...wait...NOOO!" as you fell, haha!

What I mean by this is that I get hurt from going up the elevator as I think I got *squished* by the sides as I was going up...which forced the elevator to go back down..and scare the bejesus out of me. I think when I do go up there (late in the video) I hear that laugh...not sure though!

Also, I agree with Taala. Glad I found this; I think this is one of the only games I've seen that somehow manages (for me, at least) to be CREEPIER when the lights come on. Haha!
@GinryuStargazer Oh seriously, I would have rather it been dark throughout this hellhole. Darkness provides safety while as the lights in this place are always flickering and allows the formation of scary inmate silhouettes! :O

Haha, I watched a walk-through of this part before (never playing the game, I'm just addicted to watching blind plays of scary games) but yours was the most entertaining; you left it just quiet enough so we could be absorbed into the game yet talked just enough to be an entertaining guide. I hear ya on blind plays of scary games, I always loved to watch my friends or brothers play horror games when I already know what is going to happen. Good timing with your upload! I just started looking for some kind of let's play for this mission and finding a blind play instead was pretty great. I never got far in Thief 3. I couldn't help but compare it to the previous Thief games and I always got too annoyed to get past the first few missions. So I at least wanted to see someone else play this notorious mission and your video was just perfect for it.

@karry299 What are you referring to? This is the start of the cradle misson and it goes through until it ends. If you are referring to the fact it seems to start at a random time in the movie...I don't know. Just start it at 0:00 and you're good to go!
