The banks will change dates on things all the time to show I fell below minimum to justify an overdraft charge of $35. That was a law put into place during the Great Depression, was repealed in 1999 and was directly responsible for the mess that we are in today. Today's Depression will go down as about five times worse than the Great Depression of the 1930's when this is all over with in about ten years.

"Too big to fail" means failure is exactly what they need to stop them from raping the economy because no corporation should be so large that they actually control the entire national economy. Summers is clearly a very well rewarded tool of the investment banking oligarchy and was dead wrong about the danger of derivatives, so wrong in fact that nothing he says should be taken seriously. Yet what is most revolting is the idiocy of those who believe that teachers salaries and funding for Head Start programs represent the real danger to the nations fiscal health. And we know who they are.

@diman75 No, not really greed. They trapped potential homebuyers into a bad investment either way with the sub prime mortgage. When they allowed people who normally couldn't handle the responsibility of a house to move up the ladder.
1. Rent for cheap = Throw your money away, and live around lower class people
2. Buy for cheap = Live around lower caliber people.
3. Push your limits = Live decent, but worry about losing it all.
This plan trapped society into a no win.

Sooner or later, the company you work for will collapse inspite of your efforts, and you will be jobless. You could try to stretch your credentials with another company, but risk getting fired for not being "cream of the crop." Very slim chance of succeeding either way. We needed a healthy dose of regulation.

If you send them a Debt Validation letter and they they refuse to provide proof of claim, you can get a certified Copy of the DEED from the county recorder and stamp each page cancelled for cause (being fraud)and stamp each page of your loan application. Now your alleged 'contract' is void. They never loaned you any money ( Article 1, sec.8,10-US Constititution), they are by law not able to loan you their own 'credit', and cant' loan depositors money (would be theft). The Bank creates the loan for your home, etc from thin air and can never testify (with factual evidence-accounting) the Bank would suffer a 'loss' if you didn't pay them back. Next they sold the note to wall street idiots in mortgage backed securities and got paid fruadulently for something (the note) which they didn't credit YOU as having any value (no deposit slip at closing to you).
