  • i jizzzed during those notes with the ducks.

  • amazing

  • I can only get to oil ocean without the stage select code

  • The bass is very flat. However, this certain stage is very difficult to re-create.

  • dude the bass is completely wrong

  • @sushiboots

    read the descript.

  • @sushiboots i wanna see you try any better.

  • @willguitar1000 no hes got a valid point

  • 49 people couldnt beat chemical plant zone

  • i dont even no what stage this is...

  • Bass is flat

  • most cool

  • it's ironic how it's called mario paint and they're playing a sonic song

  • O.O the ending was absolutely AWESOMEEEEE!! never change the ending ever~!

  • muy bueno el final XD

  • not bad but could use more effort (but leave the ending bit alone)

  • the ending sounded like gawd was decedning from heaven and the music played while we wachted his epicness xD vote upp

  • props very cool shit dame good remake of a very great song!

  • For having never heard it before, not bad :(

  • naaaaaaaaaaaaan

  • ok ppl.....my first comment was like 1-2 months ago.... i think i understand from all u ppl tellin me its not composer. So shutup Please. kthanksbye

  • A little slow. Increase the tempo.

  • This is pretty cool. Nicely done. ~Master Freddie

  • so sick! nicely done!

  • i actually have a sega with "sonic the hedgehog 2" and i really think that the bass was way off :/

  • kioskia1, you do realise this isnt actually sega. this is "Mario Paint Composer".

  • @Quesic FFFFFFFFFFF No it's not, it's the real Mario Paint not your stupid ezmode garbage. Props to Azure for using the real thing, screw all you losers using Composer!

  • @rpgsuperfan your such a loser, its all the freakin same thing.

  • @Quesic It's not, really. Azure actually took the time to make each separate part in Mario Paint, use save states at the beginning of each one, and load each save state by hand, while STILL making it sound good.

On top of that, in the real Mario Paint, you can only have 3 instruments per line. You don't have that limitation in Composer.

  • @Bkid001 does it really matter? so mario paint is harder, big deal, the music can still be good, but why flame over it? so he made a mistake, big deal. its not the end of the world so get over it.

  • @megazero34 Why let it go? You all let the little stuff go, think no big deal, and it snowballs. It's no big deal to respond to it either.

  • @Quesic Actually, it's not. The SNES version probably has Mario jumping on it like this, but the CPU version doesn't.

  • @TheSpriternumbertwo touche...

  • @Quesic Wow, I wish I could put you on some kind of ignore list, so I didn't have to see these mean comments.

  • @TheSpriternumbertwo wow...I wish you could not be so sarcastic.

  • @Quesic No, it's really not. Mario Paint is more difficult to compose for, more authentic, and better sounding than Composer. Composer is just a copout. And he never said this was Sega anyway... so not only can you not understand what kioskia1 was trying to say, you don't even know the difference between Mario Paint and MPC.

  • @rpgsuperfan ok i freakin got it, its mario paint, if u would like, have a look at how many people have told me it was mario paint and not the composer. DILLIGAF.

  • could have been better.

  • Omg this is my favourate from sonic! I wanna play it again my my xbow wont connect to my tv :( I have get it to work! This is awesome!

  • everything is pretty good, except the bass is in the completely wrong key .

  • i could loop this forever.

    <3s sonic

  • still pretty good

  • Comment removed

  • meh.

    the airplane notes dont fit.

  • too much man top ratings 4 your time and efforts

  • Awesome job! You can tell that a lot of work went into this. And for those of you complaining that it doesn't sound like the real version- This is made by using Mario Paint. It's pretty restrictive, and it takes a lot of hard work and effort to make it sound even remotely close to the original.

  • It's like a lounge version :p

  • the base line in the background is fucked up

this is my favorite sonic song

    now its fucked >_>

  • i agree

  • God, get over yourself. Yeah, it's crap. Big deal.

  • Excellent for a song made on the original Mario Paint

  • Props for using the REAL Mario Paint, I like it.

  • A lot better than that Composer crap.

  • It's alright. I think you should have kept it in it's original key. =/

  • lol cool

  • The ending was absolutely Epic!!!

  • Lol yeah it was. =P

    Cool version!

  • @eap415 yes it was

  • awsome

  • Nice

  • Comment removed

  • its ok

  • I loved the end... and I wish that some of the notes would stretch out; but it's pretty epic nonetheless.

  • out of tune

  • cuz there's no FLATS OR SHARPS ON THE ORIGINAL >:(

  • so don't do it =/

  • @hotrods4ben It's probab;y in the key signature or pre-programmed in...

  • wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong.

  • i like it

  • You Are The Best....

  • OMG!!

  • 5/5 i really liked it

  • I think you did good okay, for mario paint anyway :S

  • Can you not here that the bass and lead are on completely different pitches? Bad conversion, sorry.

  • I can't here it, but that's probably because "here" is not a verb.

  • Geez, I've seen on every one of AzureDreams' videos making bad comments. Seriously, it's not nice. It's not like you could do any better. Get a life.

  • Only three vids actually. The channels aren't on the same pitches. I thought other videos would have that fixed up apparently not. Good converter, bad pitches.

  • Irixion is right.. the bass is not right.... simply... CaribDevist obviously passes english but fails music epically.

  • :D

    w00t

  • Nice! :D

  • He's talking about the ROM.

  • That's pretty good for classic Mario Paint.

  • composer is far better than this, even though the original mario paint was quite awesome

  • Composer sounds like shit, end of story.

  • actually, its the same sound file, sooo nice try bud

  • And that makes a difference how?

(Do i get to add a "sooo nice try bud"? )

Ill forgive you for being deaf, so no worries.

  • umm it doesnt make a difference. if both the original version, and composer have the same sounds, how would composer sound like shit, but not the original version? im sorry, but i just dont get your logic

  • Shitty emulation? It could be any number of things, really.

  • yea ok

  • So then, you really cant hear how awful it sounds?

  • well its old nintendo sound, so really what is the best you can expect

  • Well, theres programs out there that can emulate the sound pretty damn good, I would expect people to stick to that, especially considering they are playing with the audio in mario paint.

Though even then theres something to be said for making something sound good out mario paint, considering the restrictions you have.

Though, some people just miss the point.

  • Eh, not the best, but absolutely awsome! This theme is really awsome!!!!!

  • 5 stars. Looks like extreme work was put into this.

  • i know

  • When I saw the thumbnail for this vid I thought it would be impossible to accurately recreate the tune in Mario Paint.

I'm glad I was wrong. Well done on a spectacular job.

  • probably one of the best classic sonic songs. the new songs are good too, but in a completely different way

    ex:live and learn=awesome rock song

emerald hill zone=just as good, but not a rock song

  • nice

  • wicked, thats sick! it sounds really good.

  • I like the opening, a nice guitar theme.

  • Sounds like a good future mix.

  • hey, nice vid azure. great job

  • I remember way back in my school days I played a large amount of SNES and Genesis/Mega Drive games, and pissed off the "only like one console" fanboys who had been programmed by their gaming magazines by betting Sonic and Mario would be in the same game one day. Oh the irony!

  • i'm sure someone would be offended by this. sonic music, on a mario game?! that's just absurd!

  • dude it was totally a joke, calm down.

  • hey, Sonic is in quite a few Nintendo consoles already. And besides, some of the tunes from Sonic were much more memorable than some from Mario. No offense. Mario had great games.

  • i agree nintendo got better gameplay sega got better music

  • Truly best Sonic music track ever! I would play this stage just to hear the music!

  • At least you used real Mario Paint instead of that cheater program that lets you do flats and sharps and more than 3 notes at once.

  • What's wrong with using Mario Paint Composer (the computer program)? I use it all the time, and no one complains about it. You must be a purist or something.

  • Because everybody uses it and I want to be different. Besides, this is more fun for me. If I wanted sharps, flats, more notes etc I'd just make a midi.

  • Eh, everyone has their preferences. I happen to prefer Mario Paint Composer, and I don't have a SNES, so MPC is my only option.

  • Then get an emulator. Better than stooping to using MPC.

  • Because it's not Mario Paint. Creating a good song in Mario Paint is worth much more than MPC because it's harder, and it's the REAL THING. And you say purist like it's an insult.

  • What if we don't have a SNES huh? I don't think it's on virtual console either........Don't be a hater.

  • Do a google search for "Mario Sequencer" then. It's a standalone program with the same limitations as the original. (Most Japanese videos use Mario Sequencer rather than the original.)

  • theres mario paint composer too

  • He asked what he could use BESIDES Composer if he didn't have an SNES...

  • oh ok, but he could just download the rom and emulator

  • Then get an emulator. Better than stooping to using MPC.

  • I totally agree w/ u, Kyubi.

  • Good attempt. Its out of pitch, however.

  • i remember wen i bought mai 1st sega genesis wyt mah dad lmfao good times this game brings bak memories

  • lol, the bass is playing a half step or something, think hes plating it in major... lol

  • Best song in the best sonic game ever. Good job. You are as good as TomBobBlobber, if not better.... five stars and favorited.

  • love the song!

  • yeah it does have an empty feel to it...

  • Not quite as good as it could have been (see TomBobBlender's various compositions to see what I mean), but certainly not a bad rendition!

  • wow...the irony....a fantastic Sonic song played on a Mario game \ app...haha

    Nice work!

  • that was pro right there...

    5/5 FOR POSITIVE COMMENTS!

  • oooooh off key

  • It's Mario Paint. for SNES. By Nintendo.

    The music composer has limitations.

  • not bad. the bass and a few lead notes seemed off though and tempo is wrong.

  • This is the original mario paint.

You can't get insane tempos. You can't topple notes ontop of eachother. You can't please more then three notes per beat. And you can't do sharps or flats.

So concidering the limitations, this is a good Mario Paint Composition.

  • Didnt know that but even so, some notes were wrong. As I said, not bad.

  • THAT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!

  • Cool ^-^ i use that composer, and i can see that your using a program for it. Its okay! Im a sonic fan anyway! Lol! great music!

  • Yo you should remake this in Mario paint composer so you could the accidentals are stuff.

  • add the accidentals AND stuff* sorry i suck at typing. Nice job though.

  • Amazing. A lot of time and effort, I know.

  • omfg :D

  • oh my god put the thing ON KEY

  • Tell me how to put it on key when I don't have any accidentals to work with, THEN you can insult me.

  • The bassline should be playing in-key with the rest of the song, but instead plays a step lower.

  • wtf is an accidental O_O?

  • And "accidental" is a musical term which, simply, means to add a sharp or flat to a note to change the pitch slightly higher or slightly lower, respectively.

  • ...*an

  • nice job

  • I'm sorry, those stars and the ending are the only good parts. I really WANTED to like it though. <:^(

  • one of my favorite zones in sonic 2 =D

  • one of my favorite songs, an interesting take on a classic.

  • ya me too!

  • that was pretty cool, especially the ending
