  • Very very nice man. Beautiful music. Seeing you on the streets I wouldn't of ever thought.. Thank you for the song.

  • @CalenCoffman On behalf of Reid I thank you very much Calen. Mahalo for acknowledging my student who has invested a lot of time & effort to get to where he's at now. Encouraging words from supportive people like you are sure to inspire Reid to keep plugging away at it. Thank you from me too.

    Aloha

Dis one plus Opihi Moemoe, Ku'uipo Onaona, Ku'u Home O Kahalu'u, Ka Manu, Old Timer's Hula, Keoki's Ki ho'alu, Manini, Punahele & Kani Ki ho'alu. Not bad repertoire awredde no? Wit his drive he goin' get bettah garanz.

  • AWESOME! Good job Reid! So proud of you AND Duke! Beautiful to see the music perpetuated with so much heart. :)

  • @abrigoohana Hey Lanet and yes it's so rewarding to see a haumana making strides. Great thing is that all my students are taught with the stipulation that they will share all the mana'o acquired from me with at least one other person somewhere down the line. Hopefully some will make it their kuleana as I have.

    Hugs

  • very nice Reid and Duke!

  • @kekeozjo Thank you Claudia. Reid is definitely making strides

  • I love this because it shows that it is possible to play that song (it's on my list) and sound pretty darn good without having to channel the divine from on high like Ledward. Good work dude.

  • @Nelsonisms Glad you appreciate Reid's hard work in studying ki ho'alu with me. Yup all of slack key is digestible if you have the persistence. We can all learn a lot of ki ho'alu even without channeling a slack key virtuoso like Led. Good luck in your pursuit & know that I am forever a haumana(student) of ki ho'alu.

    Warmest Aloha
