Sorry to break it to you, but online gambling isn't going anywhere anytime soon. It is a huge industry globally, and it gets bigger each year. The US can either get onboard with the rest of the world and update its laws and regulate this business, or it can continue to stay in the 1960's and miss out on billions in tax revenue. Either way, poker sites are going to find a way to give US players their money, because they want our business.
It's a good idea to join the PPA because they support our right to play online poker, and they have fought for us consistantly.
It's fairly safe to say that most banks are already complying with these regulations. This Dec. 1st deadline is the latest the banks have to comply.
You don't have to join the PPA to send a letter to your congressman telling them how you feel. Go to their website, and get the phone #s for your congressmen. Let them know you demand that they support your rights!
