Look anyone who does military service, deploys, all that has done more than the other 99% have done in their lives as Americans. I'm in the process of joining the Air Force. I'm taking the ASVAB on Tuesday. I really want SF as my job and my recruiter said he'd actually be surprised if I don't get it. I hope he's right lol.
oh i am not complaining, i just want to make that clear. I loved my job, but it could be deathly boring at times. Use it too your advantage. If you are not a PT stud or getting your bachelors degree you are wasting very very valuable time on the line.
I was 6 years prior service AFSF and i will tell you all this training was fun and amazing but in my experience overseas it sucked greatly. Just like homestation just hot and sandy. Sitting in a tower all day or a flight line. Although i did get on dune buggy patrol with the locals and that was fun. But untill they pass it in doctrine that we patrol our own 3-6 mile zone around the base it will keep being boring as hell.
@claudelol WE did the water training incase our mrap rolls into water so we coul=d get used to the oxygen tank and to show us how confused and dazed we would be after a roll over...
@xiB1ack0utzx The Air Force is always in need of Security Forces, there is always something that needs to be guarded. At least that is what my Recruiter told me. I'm currently enlisted in the DEP, and will leave for basic sometime after July 1st.
@xiB1ack0utzx security forces is the largest career field in the air force. u will have plenty of time to get in shape. i had to wait 5 months before i can ship out. i leave on the 15th.
@xiB1ack0utzx i was told just to score 50 and above. so thats what i did. i dont think they take scores lower than 50. im not entirely sure tho. Air Force requires higher entry scores than the Army and Marines.
@xiB1ack0utzx i am too. its really not that bad. Barnes and Noble has an ASVAB study book. if u are worried about it, i would check it out. just dont stress out and you will do fine.

@claudelol Thanks for the reply man. I've decided I'm gonna get my A.A degree first and then join the Air Force. That way I have some college under my belt. I've been out of High School for a year and kinda have forgot stuff.
@FutureAirman1Class you could belive your recruiter, but some of them are not always honest. i would suggest looking into the demand of the career in the Air Force you want to be.
@TotalWarPCSeries His post was from a year ago, I was going to respond too. He's probably well on his way out of tech school, maybe even deployed by now. Anyways, I'm entering my 2nd week of tech school. I think this career has it's pros and cons, if I could do it all over again, I'd probably do something with medical, but that's just me. I got a SF job and I got it quick i can't complain.
