ok all i learned in tnis video was how to make a stick into a loop and jam it inot another looped stick! still don't know how to make the ribs or weave the basket!! oh and before you react to this "negative comment" (like you always do) instead can you make videos contaning usefull information i.e HOW DO YOU MAKE A BASKET!!! what wood, how thick, how long, how do you join the ribs, how long doies it take, how do you start the weave, how do you finish, ETC
@Thedalley I'm sorry, obviously you didn't read the description, here let me say it again for you: "Not a comprehensive tutorial but just a sample of some of the superb workshops going on at the superb Bushcraft events run by..."
This was as much drawing awareness to BCUK's great events where you can learn a ton of stuff as it was a taster/sample of basket-making....
@Thedalley ... All of our other videos are packed with info, skills & knowledge sharing, of which we do entirely for free, I upload one sample/taster video and you give me grief because it's not packed wall-to-wall with how to create an entire basket. Get a life and learn how to reference multiple sources for education.
@ericsyutubeaccount no i actually saw this vid and thought wow would be cool to know how to make a basket to use when foraging for berrys to make wine would be a good skill to teach my kiddies
@PeSi2007 Unfortunately you watched this video just seconds after it was first uploaded, YouTube plays it to you in poor quality (as it's still processing it behind the scenes). In just a couple of minutes you will be able to watch it in 720p HD.
i enjoyed the vid thank you.
i have a 100ft long bush that i need to trim down and don't want to waste all that wood.
i cut it down last year so this year it has not got too many side shoots.
can anyone direct me on storage/curing trimmings?
i have plenty to give away if i can find someone in Ireland who wants it,they may have to cut it down first though!
some of the plant i cut last year died, don't undersand why. the rest grew very healthy.
