no doubt the johto series was the greatest behind the indigo and orange league, but doesnt it seem that they kinda just brushed the johto pokemon off to the side it seems i mean wen u think about it only a select few (miltnk, steelix etc) had a main purpose in the episodes but the others it seems were just put to te side, we never saw much of the starters other then ash's but we never realy saw typhlosion or feraligrt in the series thats what it feels like to me

Ho-oh is the phoenix. Pikachu represents the sun, so that when he is on Ash's head, he is the Eye of Horus upon the pyramid. Kadabra's head is a satanic star. Etc.
