  • This isn't live. :-P It's lip synched.

  • @danielscissorhands: Welcome to the 80's. The decade that brought you Milli Vanilli. They were meant to be a joke band. Gimmicky, goofy, fakey, performance artsy. A kinda New Wave GWAR. That's Tony Freaking James on bass. A founding member of Generation X. The funny part is that anyone ever took this seriously.

  • Brain slip. Tony James played bass for the Sisters of Mercy after Sputnik broke up. He did guitar for the Sputniks.

  • That's certainly a look isn't it.... not sure i could get away with it for an office job interview :-)

  • Tame for the time.......

  • fenomenal, parabéns

  • GTA Vice City

  • crap then crap now.

Simmons drums (what a joke) and yet still a drum machine used.

  • I remember switching on the TV one day. There was this guy with latex, a mohawk, sitting in a limo with an uzi and a silencer. This was long before anyone was pretending to be from Comptoon and Long Beach.

  • nejlepší vál ....

  • ZTT BABY

  • @w4nk5r They were signed with ZTT? You can hear some of the same studio effects as "Propaganda's" album that came out about the same time, so I guess so, huh?

  • Haaaaa love it

  • This freaky lead singer has watched mad maxx beond tunder dome 1 to many fuckin times. Good song but they lip it in every vid i looked up. aaahhh there gos my little rocket red in some dudes bunghole shoot it uo shoot it upaaa. The blone looks tastie though. shes the real star

  • @kncklesandwich the singer always forgets the words lol. its like spinal tap but still in a original way. they wernt supposed to perform live, the guy who set up the band pretty much wanted image and just wanted radio and tv for showing them. basically they were all sid vicious set ups besides the bassist. after ripping off emi they played more live. there is videos of them actually singing and in the original hes actually singing this song. they switched the audio.

  • This has just been used on a Rich Hall doc.

    Shoot it up!

  • 2:05 lol Soviet arms on a guitar, they are communists, our agents introduced in capitalist show business

  • 20 YEARS BEYOOOOOOOOOOOOND !

  • They were ahead of their time. I remember, when they first appeared on tv, most parents I knew were shocked. I liked them, what made others dislike me. :-)

  • BACK TOO THE FUTURE? 1986 THE FIRST TECHNO!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL!!

  • @LoveShock2 Who da who who?

  • At the time no one really got the relevance of this. It's actually brilliant.

  • If you knew Sigue Sigue Sputnik in the 80's, then you know your #$%^

  • They were briefly entertaining berks, please don't dress it up as more :) My wife once stole the singer's wig in a club and ran off with it :) he got a bit distressed. I always liked this tune though :)

  • Mt bom

  • Hot bodied punk babe in a tight dress gyrating to an hypnotic beat FTW!!

  • @aodgabelogan That's Yana YaYa :)

    Cause punk junk Gaddafi

  • Comment removed

  • glam punk ..i LOVE it

  • this is as live as elvis' comeback tour..

  • They were terrible one of the first fabricated bands loathed by punks and never got what it was all about - very much like generation X who were the bay city rollers of punk - Billy whilst amusing was a dick

  • @TheVinny2020 The Sex Pistols were a fabricated band too but I agree, this band was absolutely dreadful.

  • @whitbyjet65 um aren't all bands, like fashion, fabricated?

  • @humblemerchant Not really. I can't think of anyone more fabricated than Rory Gallagher, for example.

  • @humblemerchant No, they are Not. Most bands are a group of like-minded people who meet in school or something and start playing together. That describes the Beatles. Some run into each other at clubs, like the Stones. The bands that are put together by a producer to fit a particular pre-conceived idea are rare, not the norm.

  • this shit is awful-and I love the pistols

  • Teatralità e punk rock allo stato puro ! Immensi !!!

  • Alien Sex Fiend rip off assholes!

  • @armandin2048 Bollocks. There's fundamental differences.

  • @sclapione Yes ASF are original, amusing etc. etc,

  • Had a Casio MT 45 (among others) in the 80s - the SSS bassline could have come straight out of it. That's what makes this track unlistenable. There's creativity there, but the execution is awful - even for the 80s. Get a bassline in there that doesn't sound like a £50 Japanese toy and you'd have something. Unfortunately, this doesn't have it.

  • Wow, the song sounds so strange after they lost (or found they never had) the rights to use the original samples...

  • I bring girls back to my mind apartment like this and they get it or they dont

  • is Ray Mayhew on the drums... a billy idol fan...

KKKKKKK

  • Maldito Rafinha Bastos!

    Mal posso ver seus movimentos.

  • Definitely NOT Billy Idol....and the ex Generation X member was Tony James (Guitar)....happy times!

  • Could it be that at 1.22 we see billy idol himself playing the drums? I'm really curious to know if anyone knows for shure.

  • @0207steve I'd be MARGINALLY surprised to find out that it was really Billy Idol.. not his level, after all....

  • @0207steve The guy on drums is Ray Mayhew. Though funnily enough Tony James, the guy on Space Guitar, was in Generation X.... with Billy Idol.

  • thank you "metrodax" !!

  • "It's a test designed to provoke an emotional response" Nothing to do with the cold war my friends. It is a line from Blade Runner, SSS sampled it along with other special effects noises and clips from films. "Let me tell you about my Mother..." is another from Blade Runner, they also mashed up stuff from Terminator and A Clockwork Orange in their mixes. So there.

  • these guys suck!

  • Hahaha, 3:49 "I like the way he looks, it's original......" Yeah but you aren't though are you? You've just copied him! YCMIU! :D

  • hahahha

  • This song was make in the middle of cold war...its a test,its a test of emotional response..or ...shoot it up...misile f1-11...its a test...it a test..no joker umm,or shoot it up...simple,..a test of emotional response..anything..else,..or shoot it up..ok?..this is a test..only a test,no more..shoot it up?..

  • If anibody andswere me that if i hear or see This song or group one more time in my life from 20 years ago,I say,never...

  • Thumbs up !!!!!!!

  • Wonderful

  • BowIE had the perfect connection for peruvian flake.

DAVID is and was the ultimate CRACK HEAD. BOWIE was doing crack cocain in the late 1970s, before anybody else.

  • As ground breaking and brilliant as this was and is, it still would next exist if it was not for BOWIE!

  • BRING BACK THE 80s :D

  • oh I remember they scared me when I was little!!!! haha

  • this is live????? save kurt cobain and yours live´s perform

  • "live" ? sure, in the same way looking at porn is "sex"

  • So beyond their time that you'd need a time machine to catch up with these cats.

  • Calopsita travestchy BOMBANDO!!! Adoro o sigue sigue!!!

  • Ferris lives!!

  • Its like digging up the glam rock 70s coffin of the memory of gary glitter, making a frankenstien, watching it get hit by lightning, stand up takes a piss and shits down its leg and then falls back into the coffin

  • "It's a test designed to provoke an emotional response" your starter for 10.....!

Look at what they were doing back in the mid-80's and tell me this wasn't ground breaking. Tony James grabbed influences from loads of different types of music, genres and eras to create something unique. Not bad for a bunch of blokes literally dragged of the street because they looked the part! Who needs musicians when you have great cheek bones!!

  • @mindwarp666 "Who needs musicians when you have great cheek bones!!"

Ahhh, I see you were alive in the 80s, too.

  • @screwyou

it was all about the cheek bones! :P

  • @mindwarp666 hi wasn't one of them ex "generation x" billy idols old band ?

one of them is now teaching music therapy

  • LIP SYNCHED. Too bad.

  • futuristic! Too bad they didn't stay together.

  • think one of these guys is now teach music therapy to kids

  • i really wonder if they were actually playing anything LIVE....it was all samples and tape loops...Love it.

  • lol i was at the albert hall for that gig and missed my bus home so i had to sleep in a photo machine in victoria bus station

  • And the rest of us were going to see Van Halen.

  • @22reTOYOTA ha.. Yeah..

  • @indyboom I liked some of the new wave stuff back in the 80s, But I always stuck with Van Halen. I was a big DEVO and Violent Femmes fan in Jr. High.

  • jo-ho!

  • Somewhere along the line music has gone off track. This is a classic example of the demented pantermine it's now become.

  • @reziztanze You mean "pantomime"? Anyways this video is from the mid 80's, so your comment about today's music is 25 years too late.

  • These guys got ripped off by U2 yrs later when they did their Actung Baby tour.

  • bad ass tune

  • if only you ass*oles had any sense of time you would understand

  • Tidy

  • HE'S ON CRACK JESUS LOL C'mon

  • Bueller....Bueller

  • A drag queen with "Billy Idol" . LOL . This is not good.

  • @HegelKarl drag queen is your mother, son of a bitch

  • !!

    w w w(.)wir-treten-zurueck(.)de

    !!

  • I didn't buy their album until 2010 but it rapidly became one of my all time favorites.

  • cool! and fun!!!!!

  • Real live manga figurines.

  • fashion is so particular, good is such a test,, wrong is such a test,,

  • the sound is not live...for sure.

  • SHooooooooooot it UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP

  • THIS SONG IS NOT LIVE BUT, OBVIOUSLY, IN PLAYBACK.

  • ace vid

  • This is an amazing song. It makes me want to shoot up heroin. Fuck all these 9-5 debt slaves, I'm a druggie scounger that cannot spel that masterbaytes to chubby chicks....and will be till the day I die.

  • I was only a baby back then. Even so, pick me up and I'll slap my hand on that red button! I woulda loved to shoot some F1-11s at the Reds!!!

But yeah, this song is cool because we had Reagan with us and we were gonna defeat communism!

  • Comment removed

  • Brilliant.

  • Live what? They should stop pretending they R performing, & just sit back on a lounger eating grapes from servants =))

  • I loved this song, brings me to the past

  • @malluko70 Yeah, most ironic how it brings you to the past,.. yet, in it's time, it was SUPOSED to take one into the future!

  • Adorei esse som, me remete ao passado.

  • this was great at the time, i loved it i wont deny, along with doctor and the medics and depeche mode. but what really still turns my crank to this very day is skinny puppy. it was the same time in history, just not as brightly lit.

  • i have the disco 45 giri!

    1985!

  • Ladies and gentlemen: The 80ies. The decade when style decided to take a decade off.

Clothes, hair, music, cars...everything, with rare exceptions, was an eyesore (and an ear sore).

  • @septicbro Congratulations! You just won today's "Not getting it" prize. That is EXACTLY what SSS were about.

  • @Visionism

    Sweet!

How much money do I get?

  • @septicbro Oh come now, is THAT just the 80ies there ? Did the 60ies & 70ies not have their fair share of pop-cultural swill as well,.. like I Dream Of Jeanie, The Brady Bunch, Osmonds, Sony And Cher, bell botttoms, basin hairstyles, disco,.. for example ?

  • I am not saying that. I am just saying the 80ies were THE decade of bad taste if there ever was one.

  • @septicbro As for THESE guys,I think they're pretty goddamn entertaining,.. just dont be fool enough to take them too seriously. They're like a cross between Poison, Kiss, Devo and glam-era Bowie,.. yet exagerated to hideous proportions! It's like so tasteless and excessive that it's actually funny!

  • @Skulldini

Oh they sure are funny, I give you that. It makes me laugh watching them, but I certainly wouldn't spend $ 50 to watch some people on a stage dressed like idiots pretending to play a song that's actually a recording.

The difference with the other ones you mention is that those were actual musicians.

  • Comment removed

  • @septicbro Well, I wouldn't say that THESE guys are really musicians myself. They're more like a parody,.. in wich sense they do make a pretty good act.

  • love this song! its soo good.

  • There's no way this is a live recording.

  • lovin' it

  • Sad. Fucking playback.

  • Just found a vinyl with them on a flee-market - thought the cover looked amazing - and i really love this synth-based type of music :D

  • Was on the non-existent Ferris Bueller's Day Off soundtrack. It is just fun - that's it.

  • the sss in the star is a copy from the ccc celule comunist combatent a terorist group in the 80s in belgium who drop som bombs in brussels 2ppl die i remember it now anyway its a cool song and a futuristband i by the singel wen i was a kid peace

  • somewhere between Bowie and Gwar.... trippy!

  • They had some promise when they first released Love Missile F1-11 and then their next single sounded exactly the same and the album too, all style, no substance.

This ain't live either, it's playback. Muriel Gray quite rightly mocked them as a bunch of "gonks" when interviewing Martin Degville and Tony James on the Tube.

Brings back some funny memories of that era.

  • I bought this in 1986. Agreed, 20 years ahead of their time. You can say the idea of raves, took flight at one of their shows.

  • shite personified.

  • fukkin great!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @2r1c Why are you getting so upset, it's just a band and the theatrics of a stage show, chill out man or you will have a THROMBY

  • SAVE FERRIS

  • Whoa! Scarier than Marilyn Manson!
