Yes I'm blind as a bat too. I have tried that trick. They make special glasses that train your eyes back to perfect vision. You wear them for several hours at a time and they have little perforations that you basically focus on and it fixes your eyesight! Oh and I was laughing so loud at work, watching this, everyone turned around HA HA! Thanks Tony!

It's called the pinhole effect. We actually use that effect in optometry to see whether a decrease in vision is just caused by a refractive error that could be fixed by some glasses or whether it is something more serious. :)

Pinhole effect...just like using a small aperature on a camera lens....it increases your depth of field/focus. The smaller the hole...the sharper your vision will be.
