  • 1995 ohhh the memories. I think it was one of the best years in DCI history. The crowd was into it all night because the programs all had awesome stuff in their own regard. This is what drum corps is missing in the 2010+ era. This is what got me hooked on the activity. Anymore I don't care if I miss going to shows and catching up with people. Just blah.

  • that bass run at 8:13ish omfg

  • BD's 1995 show.. Totally underrated.

  • @Wahl95

I'm 95% sure BD was undefeated going into finals but they failed to raise their game the last few shows and just got played. But you're right, the rest of the season they were untouchable.

  • @brown55061

Undefeated until Quarters. GE is how they lost. But basically had 2 seasons without losing a show.

  • Ah....good old Devs :)

  • my guard instructor is in this guard(:

  • @misshairobsessed123 my uncle marched snare with them that year, then my cousin marched tenors for them in '97

  • @DrmrGuy1979 LIke the Cavies roll in their solo?

  • @ drmrguy1979 DCI hired IBM to do the broadcasts in the mid 90's. It was awful. They had no idea what to point the camera at.

  • I love how over 4 minutes of this is devoted to Devils throwing down.

  • Blue Knights were drumming to that year! We came in 4th or 5th place on semi's. We did not make finals. Every drumline (exept top 3) went up one place because of that!

  • Regiment 1995 deserves to be so much more appreciated than it is.

  • @DuBoisBand two of 'em! looks like the turf was pretty slippery

  • cadet's hornline member falls at 6:55... never noticed that before!

  • @DuBoisBand TWO OF THEM DO! AT THE SAME TIME. lol

  • The cameramen loved the Devs line, jesus.

  • @enjoyincube I know they only got 4th that year, but Devs' 1995 book was freakin sick. They by far played the most challenging book that year. So Technical Analysis was noted but Execution not quite. Phantom's book was easy. (IMO) As was Cavies' (But cavies played the shit out of there book to perfection). Cadets and BD had the toughest books

  • Did they judge on a 10 point scale back then? I'm only 16 so I have always been judged on a 100-point scale.

  • @TheBandicoot16 Drum Corps judging is different than high school marching band. They used to judge the percussion sections on a 10 point scale but now percussion score is out of 20.

  • @drewdrummer7 oh okay, thanks for that. that's interesting.

  • have to love the Hulka copter!

  • @jazzman3071 Actually what we played was the Casey Claw.

  • @hulka9396 Sorry Hulka. For some reasom I thought it was 95 that you played your signature Hulka copter. I know it has been discussed on DLO at some point.

  • @jazzman3071 Oh, no need to apologize. The line never played the helicopter, that was just something I did for I&E. The line just played the claw in '94 and '95.

  • @hulka9396 your 09 DCA I&E was fantastic by the way. Ironman7DLO(although I have not been able to sign on for quite some time)
