oh my goodness, it looks as if everyone left town and ur the only surivor of some infectious disease or something! creepy....but quite beautiful scenery i must add. good video
um i actually live in this town and my power was out for 12 days. =o we couldnt get out to check on my friend's cats at their house for at least a week.
I'm from Central Mass., with friends and relatives in New Hampshire. We got our power back after a week of living in the cold and dark. Homes were destroyed by falling trees, and there were power lines down everywhere. However, as you can see, parts of New Hampshire are worse. This was no ordinary ice storm. This time homes and businesses all over New England have been destroyed.
Hi Schill, thanks for the clip. 12 miles north of my home in Northern NJ, some folks got hit with the same Winter Wonder. CNN has been showing clips from Vernon, NJ where 200K have been without power.
When I lived in OK, I saw this feastival of ice at least once every 3 or 4 years. It is so beautiful and distructive at the same time. LV got hit this year; think it took him 6 months to clean up his property.
you have some guts going through there!! didn't know NH got hit that hard, i know someone who lives up there in your town, no wonder he didn't go to work friday, im from central mass, and i was lucky enough to only live without cable for a day didn't lose power or nothing, everything around us did cause we live down in a valley, once the sun came up all the ice melted on the trees on our street, but saw a lot of that around town, very scary!!!
as working for the utility company i will never forget this storm and the hours spent restoring everyones services

I remember driving down 119 with a chainsaw and using it to cut our way up to Rindge. This is a grim reminder that winter is coming...bleh
Pretty view in retrospect. :)

It looked like a 'twig' ended your journey. you have to see beyond the trees and rainwater....
(still a beautiful scene).

Lyndenborough was pretty treacherous, but here in epping the only harm was lack of power!
two wood stoves, a generator and a draw well kept us civilized
