I had to choose a song in r.e that is a prayer to you, I chose the rescue and when I was asked how the song affects me I told my class everything from being cyber bullied, bullied about my sexuality, and that I have attempted suicide as well as my most recent relapse. I made the teacher, all the girls and a few of the boys cry while I stood there bawling my eyes out. I have now been asked to present it to the school board to help them change the school bullying policies.

I love this song... it speaks of the truth that no matter what happens, if we let God take control of our lives... he will come and RESCUE us. No matter what we're going through, no matter who or what is putting us down. From the depths of the hurt and all the pain that we experience, he will pull us up and lift us high. Here comes the low self esteem again. I don't feel beauiful without him here. He was the only guy that cared about me that much and made me feel beautiful. My best frienddoesnt understand because guys flock to her everywhere she goes. She ALWAYS has a boyfriend and thinks I sould just move on and find another guy like him. But that's the thing, there is no one like him. All the other guys are fake. They think they like me until they see the real me. Then they don't. He loved that side of me. /3
I need rescue from myself. I had a very low self esteem until I met the one guy I care about more than anyone (besides family) he meant the world to me an still does. He told me I was beautiful all the time and that he liked me just the way I am and for who I am. He was different and I knew it. My family didn't like him, because he's done some stupid things, but I don't care. Everything about him is perfect for me. But recently he made a huge mistake and I may never see him again.

I didn't know what to say. I typed in 'rescue' on youtube and she told me to click on this. Middle of the song she grabs my hand, I looked over at her and she was crying. I held onto her for the rest of the song. After it was done we were both crying and she said "you're right. I can't give up" Thank you <3
@JulioMejiaE I'm assuming its to not lose audience. You can help others by not talking about God directly. It won't get that person saved, but it might sure help that person. My ex-band does that and that way they are able to play in places and be heard by people that they wouldn't be able to if they openly called themselves a "Christian" band with God centered lyrics.

I keep seeing this video, but not watching it becase i wasn't expecting much. I felt really led to watch it today. Wow. I wish I had sooner. This is such a powerful video...it sends chills up and down my spine with every picture and tears are filling my eyes.

This song literally saved my friend's life. I brought her to my house one night because she called me swearing she was going to kill herself. She said "it's like nothing can rescue me". I didn't know what to say. I typed in 'rescue' on youtube and she told me to click on this. Middle of the song she grabs my hand, I looked over at her and she was crying. I held onto her for the rest of the song. After it was done we were both crying and she said "you're right. I can't give up" Thank you <3

@JulioMejiaE I'm assuming its to not lose audience. You can help others by not talking about God directly. It won't get that person saved, but it might sure help that person. My ex-band does that and that way they are able to play in places and be heard by people that they wouldn't be able to if they openly called themselves a "Christian" band with God centered lyrics.
