Thanks for the comment and compliment. Yes, the building with the lights on it is a movie theater. It's the Palace Theater made by Walters a few years ago.
Thanks for the comment. If I had a permanent layout things would be fancier. But for a temporary layout like this I do like to keep things as simple as possible. Simpler usually means less problems and more time to run the trains.
Oh. I recently bought some in a set. It's a good deal because you get three cars, a station, three billboards, and 4 pieces of straight fastrack, all for less than $100. I'm hoping to get the two ad-on cars, the baggage car and the vista dome car.
lol do you think they would make it black cherry scented? lol I think in my younger days messing with HO gauge I saw black smoke in a hobby store... but that had to be every bit of 13 or more years ago.
I have a Hallmark Keepsake ornament of that locomotive. I hope I can find other set of it!!

my kind of layout! I don't want to spend all that time and $ on a fancy track plan, I just want to run trains! Those alcos smoke like the real ones!

These locomotive have TMCC, but are being controlled with Legacy.

You should use these engines with passenger cars.

Thanks for the comment. They would look nice with passenger cars. But I don't have any passenger cars for the New York Central.

Smoke, its an Alco, what more do you expect lol, the S4 smokes nicely too

It sure would be something if someone could make these smoke black just like a real Alco.

I would imagine anything is possible as far as scents go. But just the thought of black smoke sounds messy.

those engines can really smoke- Lionel got smart since MTH was the smokers around.
Southerntreatment 2 years ago
They do smoke very well. Lionel has improved their smoke units the past few years. But they still don't smoke quite as much as an MTH though.
rj2571 2 years ago
Nice! Did you put MTH smoke units in them?
Weiberts 2 years ago
Thanks for the comment. These locomotives are 100% Lionel with no modifications. But I do use MTH smoke fluid.
