  • Nice.

  • гавно это филлипинское, клинч-бросок и капец всей технике

  • eskrima is not for pussies , rattan sticks hurts like hell

  • why did this asian have a norwegian flag on his arm?

  • bwek, bwek, bwek, bwek, bwek, bwek!

  • I got a little more spanish in me cause of my skin color being so pale but I'm consider mexican. Mexican comes form the term mestizo mean mixed blood of indian and european which is right some other mexicans look alot more indian. Alot of these chinese, japs, other asians any one with black hair taned or pale without any german or english blood pretty much all look the same I got cousins that look like some of those guys lol.

  • As a fhilipino i had to try it but after getting hit like a million taimes and haveing 5 black eyes i was like fuck it

  • Win or lose the white guy made money.

  • hes had practice on his kids hahaha lol gamit nya yung walis :P

  • LOL an american thinking he can fight, they made short work of this damn yank. Fuck me americans suck

  • This martial art must be highly recommended to every policemen and soldiers.

  • Really dumb to be sparring without eye protection. One poke in the eye, and you could be blinded. It's amazing the stupid things people do. They don't think about it until they lose their eyesight. And then they'll realize, "$hit, that was stupid!"

  • I have to give this guy credit for his guts. Must be a very scary thing to get in that ring with an escrima fighter. Very well done.

  • Norwegian flag on the shoulder of Jasons opponent? Er han norsk?

  • @WatariKashi why yes O_O there is one... I am mind blown

  • a very good show and the only reporters who told the truth about greeks. They said that Alexander the Mega show pagkratio to asia cities and from that judo, bushido and so many other technices were born

  • this proves it when you both have a weapon go for his hands ...you break an attacker hands he cant fight

  • @ FREEstylerFTW: In theory I know, I'm doing Eskrima. It's not that I wanted to critize. I was just surprised about the fighting system. We don't do sparring so... It's interesting. Do you get more point if you can disarm?

  • i watched this episode. That arena is also used for cockfighting.

  • @alangname WUAHAHAHHAHA

  • I use solid wood rather than flexible weapon. Love Eskrima.

  • Get owned Jason jajajajajaja!!!

  • It is not about race at all come on! It's the person. And I don't even think its the style either, its how you apply any style with accuracy and timing. This guy is a grappler, if the fight hits the ground who do you think would win? Same thing for the Escrima fighter, he would win also if he gets the grappler with a crazy combo knocking him out. Even how a fighter looks on executing a move might not look fluid but if the timing is right and it hits....Game Over.

  • it's a joke...

Once you've lost your weapon, you woud be dead..

    .

  • @hyogako Eskrima is a form of fighting with both sticks and hand to hand, the sticks just further the reach and increase the damage

  • it's a joke...

Once you've lost your weapon, you woud be dead...

  • @hyogako ummmm no, they train with weapons free as well. do more research before you comment.

  • @copypacercopypacer pfft all styles are equal its just the practicioner and plus you wouldnt even go against a eskrimador....

  • if escrima is so good then why is it that silat users or masters end of gettting the win against eskrimadors???? is it because escrima isn't a effective martial art and only good for begginers like kids 12yr old and younger???? if thats the case then i lost all respect for eskrima and believe it is the word pieace of shit that you can take in martial arts and should be recomended not to take it

  • @copypacercopypacer I prefer learning a martial art style from a nation with known fighting and boxing tradition, with world class fighters and boxers. Rather than learning a sissy fag dancing martial art whose country of origin has not proved anything in world class fighting and boxing.

  • First rule of weapon fighting, do not block using your arms unless your throat will get cut.

  • Lol I can understand what the filipinos say

  • Jason has a BIG POTENTIAL thou

  • this is shows how EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE plays the BIG part in winning the FIGHT.

  • Personally whats the point of eskrima. Your not always going to have a stick on you

  • @guildfordrunner you can apply the same techniques in hand to hand eskrima or commonly known as arnis has three types knife, sticks and hand to hand

  • @guildfordrunner

You forget that the Philippines has a big knife culture some what like the gun culture in the states. Many people carry them so it pays to know how to use one.

  • @guildfordrunner there always something at hand, pool que, feather duster , pole, eskrima is weapons based so whatever comes to hand

  • @guildfordrunner ? Eskrima is not about stick fighting too they just use it alot because in the streets people always have knives and sticks and pipes with them to hit people fight dirty but they also have defense like disarms strikes and grapping too

  • @guildfordrunner

You could still do eskrima with your arms and hands. That's what makes it unique.

  • @guildfordrunner Escrima can be used by the police, prison guards and military personnel during riots. When a deranged or drunk person is doing amok. That's how practical and effective it is. See the disarm at 1:08, you'll realise what I say.

  • one of the most deadly martial arts in the world if they get their hands on a stick you run lol

  • I like all kinds of martial arts but fighting with weapons doesn't prove much besides relying on a weapon for a victory in a fight.

  • @lilsm555 escrima doesn't completel rely on the weapon, in fact, you're first taught to fight without a weapon.

  • @lilsm555 - fighting with weapons is about attributes and education as much as anything else. Think of line familiarization and weapon configurations - even if all it does is educate you about what you may encounter it is worthwhile.

And if I have a weapon you bet your bottom dollar I am using it - I aim to get home at the end of the day; not pose

  • GO PILIPINO!

  • @jabbernaut : he teaches eskrima in norway

  • are they using real rattan sticks?

  • @zymethification : no they are using togas sticks w/c is almost harder than metal, much heavier

  • @frangkoy actually those are padded sticks.

  • Why is that Filipino guy wearing the Norwegian flag on his shirt.. ?..

  • this filipeno guy is alright, but not great for supposedly being an eskrima fighting champion

  • i also tried this padded sticks and they only hurt 10% the pain compared to the reall eskrima sticks

  • it's nice to see all those Filipino faces. it reminds me of my homeland hahaha

  • I grew up with great Eskrima masters in Stockton California - this white dude is a joke.

  • Honestly, it looks like the asian guy is going a bit too easy on the American...

  • @TheTffp

He was probably asked to go easy. The americans are way out of their league here.

  • don't know why they used padded sticks here... strange. been doing kali since 1999, head protection and normal 1 1/4 rattan stick is what we use for sparring, that's it, no other protection. in any event, you have two sets of rules when sparring, 1 is stick rules, where you can grab any part, hit any part, and just keep going. the other is blade rules, where you must respect a legit hit on what would be a bladed edge to the body, making catching or disarming very difficult to do.

  • Isn't that place where they held cock fights in the Philippines. seriously I've seen one those hut arenas. awesome first round btw. i like how the guy disarmed jason's hand.

  • lol tko for getting hit in the finger

  • this fighting looks pretty fucking stupid but it would fucking hurt to get hit by those things like that haha.

  • Why is the escrimador wearing a shirt with the norwegian flag? XD

  • @kideyeball87 Cause he (Percival) was teaching Eskrima in Norway. XD

  • nice disarm by the champ

  • the t-shirts about an organization so its probably a branch of that organization in Norway or something like that...

  • The thing about Americans trying to do martial arts like this is 1) They always look like they're too scared to get hit, and 2) They take a fluid form and make it look stiff as hell. I'm glad a real Filipino escrimador showed this guy how it's done. Now, let's get the Dog Brothers into a real Eskrima deathmatch and see if their big ugly brutish style works. I bet they'll get their ass handed to them...

  • You got to hand it to Jason though, he only had a weeks or so training.

  • @maurikw

That Percival guy wasn't really trying. Like a cat playing with a kitten. Not really putting in the effort but still showing who's boss.

  • @maurikw i think it would have been much more instructional if they had paired him will a mid-leveled practitioner...

  • @maurikw Yeah, Jason did much better than the average person would after a week of Eskrima training against a guy doing it all his life.

  • @maurikw why can't filipinos be more benevolent in politics as they are in fighting? If politicians can't see eye to eye... at least let them fight it out personally than just send other people to assassinate or degrade them....

  • instead of talking shit ,why not fight yourself.

  • @MattyFett u probably can't fight for shit mate...

  • Maybe you should try not being so racist?... I'm a Filipino-American and as much hang-ups as I have about American philosophy, I know that there are many great American martial artists out there; I practice under one. Keep the damn stereotypes to yourself.

  • @MattyFett Eerrrrrrmmmm . . . . Yeah, fuck you too buddy. It's the martial artist, not where he comes from, that counts.

  • @MattyFett Go say that to Chuck Norris, watch him go have dinner with your mom while he leaves you crippled on the roof of her house.

  • @MattyFett I'm from America and i'm doing karate and Jiujitsu ( traditionnal and brazilian ) and I completely disagree with you on the 1) . It is normal that your first time you are scared to get hit but after a couple of time and practice , that fear disappear. About fluidity , I think it doesnt matter where you come from , it all about the practice.

  • @MattyFett wow... how racist. generalizing about any country as a whole is so ignorant and brash.

  • @MattyFett To be fair, Americans are just as capable as any other nationality, it's just a matter of how much training one has had.

  • its nice to see eskrimador tries to do it without gears, yet I would still say its still controlled. in a real huelga todo or wigo todo, you dont last for the next round. good job guys. . .

  • what show is this?

  • Human Weapon

  • Buds imo man lang giduladulaan.. he ehe he...Its so good to see you in the big screen... I want to spar those white boys.....

    Felix Roiles

  • ill spar you , without stick though...lol. my wife is from the philipines, she said that some clans use poison on their blades. brutal stuff. I might go to Quezon City in the next year or so, any reccomendations on gyms around there?

  • and some pinoys poison there, nails, spit or use powder. I know why, myself hence why i'm GOE

  • most sticks are made of rattan or kamagong... I wanna own several pairs of sticks, kris and kalis blades and other vintage weapons like that too!! ^_^

  • Asskicker, Mes Amies

  • you cant take out us filipino escrimadors!! HAH

  • Human Weapon owns Fight Quest llolol

  • I had my first escrima lesson today. How much training had the Jason guy had?

  • In the episode, if I recall, probably just a few days, but he is of course a top MMA fighter, hence the judo moves he tried to get in.

  • Jason's resumé says he is intermediate level, if I recall in the show he states that he has trained in FMA before going to the Philippines.

  • escrima orcks.

i tought 5 days ore something buth they do it the hole day and if you practise an half hour about one thing, he do it the hole day... he is not tallented buth just much training... and affcorse he has a mma bakcground, you can be bether in 2weeks. i do escrima concepts now for over 5 year and i train around 12 hours in gym each week and in my own home i train each day with friends, just pull on the gloves and fight hard :)

  • In Fight Quest they put the hosts against Purple and Blue belt BJJ fighters. Was that BJJ crap too? Not to mention the Judo episode where Jason Chambers was owned by the Judoka. Putting the hosts against experienced players of each art is just part of those shows.

Well, in the Ninjitsu episode it was the Ninjas who got owned and they were 15th and 13th dan black belts, so go figure...

  • im not sure but i thought he lost the match by 1 point in the Ninjutsu ep?

  • He lost and Bill won, but the opponents were 13th and 15th dan black belts, logically they should have won easily against white belts, but that's not what the video shows.

  • maybe, but arent these guys good at martial arts in general? i mean they go around the world and train in all these arts.

  • ??????????? it generally only goes up to 10th dan.

  • Just watch the video. Thats what they say.

  • dont mess with the Filipinos you Fools!

  • well, just don't give em a stick

  • well, Let me rephrase.

    Dont let them use anything!

Because filipinos can be very creative.

My cousin once grabbed a brick and smashed it to this guys head at school :(

The guy had to stay in hospital for a while...

  • wrong just dont give flipinenos anything cause they can only use weapons :(

other then that ull kick the ass if they dont have a weapon :)

  • Maybe :D

But a lot Filipinos (Especialy Kids and teenagers) are good on their fists.

  • I don't think the famous Filipino boxers would agree with you.

  • lmao thats what i was thinkin

all the flip boxing champions that could whip the shit outta him

  • you do know that empty-hand techniques are taught after a couple of years of training. First stick, then dagger, then

    empty-hand

  • @DaReelMix : r u sure man?? how about fist fight??? lets see

  • i wanna learn eskrima is so cool and i want to be able to defend myself in an effective way

  • if only you could take eskrima classes in saskatchewan... :(

  • this is what we do on our P.E class back in high school, Escrima arnis

  • sumosan1, I teach PT to a small group in Northern California if that helps.

  • Jason should stick with MMA

  • Awesome vid, so where do I go to get my ass kicked?

  • oh my god, how much do they pay these two. they get beaten up so much. even more than those "do not laugh japanese game show" guys.

  • Actually, on that particular shirt, yeah, he is wearing the Norwegian flag... because he has a student who represents Doce Pares in Norway...

  • Oh wow, yeah. 01:10 you can see it perfectly. Cool

  • i was in dis video and those guys in my video are all my masters

  • Wow I feel tremendous pride knowing that my culture is being honored here. Thanks to the History Channel and Human Weapon for showcasing our martial art.

Just to make things clear those were not steel rods, those were wooden burnt bamboo sticks covered in foam. I know cause I have two of those at home :p

  • :) Thanks for the comment.

It really is a cool martial art, Human Weapon is a very interesting program too, they showcase the history, science and culture behind many martial arts.

Sorry that I put steel rods, they are indeed covered in foam, but at the begining of the fight, which I didn't put on youtube, they say that he's fighting with foam covered steel rods.

  • ever heard of the word rattan?

  • wrong there buddy, those are no bamboo but rattan.

  • i kno these are lil more than sparring matches..but I swear 2 u that eskrima guy was puttin a lil bit of sauce on them rod strikes

  • steel RODS!!!

    this is major
