  • Wonderful!!!

  • i`m from finland, newer heard this version of the song. I think also that we have wrong national song...

This can not but be that no one can tell me how the tour cd this is, or where I can get the. I beg you, help me. I just want the intro, if possible. Ok, I'll take the whole package.

  • As much as I like Nightwish.. this is not worth listening!

  • @MRiitta it would be if you were Finnish.

  • @mircea2404

    heh-- olen suomalainen:)

  • 10 dislikes still want Finland like part of Russia! :D

  • @AleYui1 I was thinking the 10 dislikes must have come from Russians whose fathers fought at Tali-Ihantala. :-)

  • Raavas SUOMALAINEN mieskin melkein jo herkistyy tämän edessä!!

  • All u swedish cocks*****s go to hell! this song rules and we will some day conquer your country!

  • Perkele!!

  • @kpasi70 REMEMBER DICKHEAD.. SIBBE WAS FINLANDSSVENSK

  • @monpeful

    Only dickhead here is you.

  • Yeah, i'm finnish and proud it.

  • I went to Gibson. Nightwish played this better than America could ever their own national music.

  • 9 ruotsalaista ei pitänyt tästä videosta

  • @tonythekakkofan

    JOO-O :D

  • An analogy that this piece of music brings into my mind: finland = the hobbits, russia = mordor

  • @schacksaw aye

  • Respect for the Finnish! ~ from The Netherlands =)

  • Tosi surkea ja epävireinen versio.

    Nightwish pystyisi parempaankin.

    Utterly poor and distuned version.

    Nightwish could do better!

    Why don't you even try?????

  • Thsi is much better then original !!!!

  • @majomanak There is no original. Sibelius never played it himself so all of these interpretations are "covers".

  • I love this land. This song put our in high gear.

No offense to the Highlanders. But those pipes are not our thing.

Even this is awsome song with them.

  • This is so nice, i love this song, i love finland, witch is the country where i live, i love sibelius, this is so good song and specially, i love NIGHTWISH

  • Nice!

  • Original is anyway far better. If I am not wrong J (janne).S has done this yeer 1899 - 1900 as Finaland were under Russians and this kind of National music was totally forbidden until 1917.Please check original: Jean Sibelius - Finlandia - London philharmonic orchestra

  • Hyvää itsenäisyyspäivää kaikille!!

Original is way more better ;)

  • Happy independence day Suomi!

  • @Diztres40

Sibelius is the composer of this song.. As a Finn you should know that.

I love this song, this version is really beautiful <3 And happy independence day Finland!

  • @Diztres40 How on Earth you don't know this is Sibelius...

  • @lamppula All i know is that some ppl say this is Sibelius's handywork but I've seen no evidence of it. Since my knowledge of this is so thin I just might go to library to research this topic ^^ but noy today :D today i'm gonna fill my heart with pride even more in Skyrim! btw that is awesome game and the nature in that game reminds me of Finland. :)

  • @Diztres40 There is no doubt Sibelius composed Finlandia during 1899 and 1900. Have a nice day!

  • @Diztres40 Sibelius is the most known composer from Finland.. (finlandia also should have been national hymn of Finland lonig time ago allready).. I recommend you to delete your message so no one more will know you didint know that! :p

  • Mysterious and awesome!

  • at 6:00 mark when the song ended all people left the concert hall because there wasn't going to be any better songs than this

this is so cool. who it is that somewhere ???

  • @unnenny Copy?

  • Pretty sure the pipe player's Troy Donockley... In which case I know him! And the band he used to be in :)

  • Um guys, this is *NOT* Sibelius' Finlandia. It has rather strong folk music elements, but although it has the same name, it is not the same piece...

  • @PaulJonkerHoffren ...except the melody, which happens to be Sibelius's Finlandia.

  • @PaulJonkerHoffren As someone already pointed out this *IS* Sibelius' Finlandia. It's just a different kind of arrangement.

  • Todella hyvä =)

  • I am not even Finnish, but this piece still fills me with a sense of strong emotion, and pride even... I have enormous respect for Sibelius, and the way his work restored hope for Finns in time of darkness....

thumbs up if anyone else feels overwhelmed by this piece and remembers it from childhood!!! (I had a weird childhood!)

  • @ClareBElsey Once.. I was in my high school age on a trip from my homeland Finland to France to a small village called Taizé where young lutherans gathered to keep in touch. In a meeting we had to say something about our country. They all said something, I sang this song: Finlandia.

  • @ClareBElsey I'm still missing the song from nightwish. It would be nice to hear this great opera song how finns did get away from slavery!

  • @ClareBElsey Friend!

  • @ClareBElsey Jesus is the answer! i men that Jesus can help you and forgive you everything and everytihng what you have had from other people is not your fault

God bless you becaue Jesus loves you very much, like He loves every people as much and want to own them as His children, becaue Jesus is the Only Son of Almight God who saved me on Nowember 24th of 2005 and want to save you and all of you too God bless all of you :)

  • @WHITECHILD2

Jesus loved us so much he came here with death, rape and conquest. Fuck yeah desert god covered in blood of my people, you love me so much. Go and die on a cross like a pussy. We have hammers, Ukko is the reason for the season.

  • TUOMAS...YOU FUCKING GENIUS!!!!

  • @cheertildeath whats new?

  • @cheertildeath Tuomas didn't compose this one. The original composer is Jean Sibelius - a very well known finnish composer, mind you - and this song is an adaptation about it.

The song is about a century old piece, and it has a special meaning in finnish history, about finnish history. But as Nightwish is finnish, is makes sense for them to play it though.

  • one of the best instrumentals I've heard so far...

  • great never knewn this song, nice seven days to the wolves

  • makes me wanna cry... so beautiful...

hail sibelius, hail nightwish and troy!!!

  • beautiful!

  • me too guys [:

  • i love love love it

  • its damn great!! EPIC
