  • I was driving home and arrived before teh song finished. I needed closure.

  • a song we can sing when we're sad

  • i ave hear this 1 over a 1000 times,,,,,,it speaks intoo the heart

  • Hahaha, Wrong web box; I meant to put it on the other one, with the vocals. Opsie! ^_^;;

  • Vic Mignogna and Alessandro Juliani are warring in my head for the best voice Actor and my voice-acting hero.

  • i love how complicated and emotional BSG gets with betrayals, romances and twists in the plots. This series will remain in my heart forever!!

  • poor ol' gaeta, getting on the wrong side of everything. thought he was doing the right thing and frakked up, then accepted the consequences. i love that bsg didn't shy away from exploring complicated moral issues. that's a sign of a truly good show

  • I love Bear's music. I just sit down, read A Game of Thrones and everthing is perfect.

  • I remember this song, it was so sad. The one guy the one guy that was do dutiful but in the end led a resurrection after D committed suicide. That suicide was what pushed him over. And him and Zareck getting shot and flushed out the launch tube was something. This show was mostly about the human condition with SF mixed in. Does the old ways still keep together or do they break apart, do people stay the same the answer is no. BSG had the best music in a long time for a series and SF.

  • It sounds so Arabic! I love it! XD

  • So say we all

  • This song is marvelous and purely simple in its complexity!

  • Dammit Gaeta! Your singing permanently altered the flow of history!

  • Damn this show was tragic... was pretty down for weeks after i first finished it...

  • To have her please, just one day wake...

  • Love it love it love it. Thanks SurfCompton!! You're a legend for putting these on!

  • i love this!!!!

it sorta sounds egyptian huh? ^^

  • AindaMais, i'll gladly add "all along the watchtower" ... but your list is just fine ;)

  • One of the best "Oh shit, shit, shit! No, no no!" songs ever. It's just filled with very frank yet ominous sound. Just listening brings me back to every "NO! Why!?" moment on the show but with a matter of factness that makes it that much more powerful. Like "this is what is happening, you won't like it but you will have to watch it happen and there is nothing you can do to stop it". Brilliant, best composer in television.

  • One of my favorites from the album!

  • Poor, poor Gaeta.

  • Poor, poor Gaeta.

  • Despite my issues with the way the series ended, Bear McCreary is my GOD. The music of BSG has only gotten better as the series has progressed, though I'd have scarcely thought it possible. The use of percussion by itself is incredible.

  • @imorriso1 So true ... I don't think I've ever seen a TV show with better music ... This shit is incredible. BSG's final seasons? Not so much, but the music just kept getting better and better.

  • @jefmajor It's kinda funny. Some of the stuff from Daybreak is some of his best work yet, like "Kara Remembers", but in the back of my mind I'm twitching because I remember the connection with the finale. Even so, I just can't. Stop. Listening.

  • aaah, you guys convinced me, that i should watch the whole series again, for the third time.

how can you not love this shit right here?

  • Film is a battlefield. Love, hate, action, violence, death in a word: Emotions Sam Fuller

If Galactica isn't all this, frak me

  • I was watching this episode with my friends at 2 AM, on our weekly BSG marathon (as one has never seen it before, and the show is too good not to share), and when Athena wakes up and Hera says "Bye bye." we just freaked out...

It's odd how scary some things are in the dead of night... But when the whole episode came togther at the end, with this playing, it was pretty intense. Watching BSG at night, it's a good for tension, that's what I've learned.

  • I asked my son in law what he thought of BSG. He said he hated it. I asked him if he had ever watched it and he said he had not. I slipped this episode in the DVD and we watched it together along with my daughter. He was totally engrossed by it. Now he wants to watch the whole series from the beginning. If no one has watched BSG before, this is the episode to hook them with. It is so tense and ends with such a cliffhanger, who can resist?

  • I've gotten that reaction from people quite a lot. It's unfortunate that the name alone is reason enough most of them go "no way, won't watch".

I can understand the reaction, since I've always abhorred the original BSG. I thought a remake was ridiculous and was set on watching it just to scorn it. Never have I had my opinion so dramatically 180. Watched it religiously the entire way through. So glad I did. :D

  • It's just such a shame because of the name... Who, without having seen it, is going to take a show called 'Battlestar Galactica' seriously?

  • JUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • If Gaeta just held on a little longer the pay off for him would have been good.

  • Same for Dee.

  • True...Same for Dee. Just a little longer and that pay off would've gotten her Lee Adama.

  • The way I see it, Dee had to die so that Lee and Starbuck could get back together, which I think is really unfair to her.

  • Yeah but in the end Lee had no one as well.

  • Neither Adama did.

  • Lee and Bill both got the short end of the stick.

  • Tryol, Adama, Lee, Dee and Roslin all got short ends of the stick. They all wound up alone or dead and frakkkkin baltar walks off happy. Sorry it just doesn't sit right with me, but it is realistic in some ways that it isn't always the deserving who prevail. Baltar didn't do enough in my mind to deserve a happy ending.

  • @Loveandbullets1 add Boomer to the list... it's like the writers forgot who she was after season 2. And good call on Baltar. A more fitting ending for the man who kept screwing over humanity to save his own hide would have been to save them all at the cost of his own life, not stammer out some ridiculous sermon then live happily ever after. He was the one character I couldn't stand (besides Ellen the drama queen) but if he'd gone down a martyr I would have had some respect for the twit.

  • Gaius Baltar was the best character on the entire show. He's the right hand of God, don't forget that.

  • No, he ist just a selfish extroverted womanizer...

  • @imorriso1

The only difference I would have liked to see was Baltar and Caprica Six raising Hera, and the only way to do that would have been to kill Helo and Athena, who had become fan favorites by then. Not alot of ppl would've liked that ending, but there were so many clues in Season 1 and 2 that showed that was where it was going. Still love the finale though, a great ending.

  • @omegakyo That's exactly how it was supposed to happen, but they chickened out and let them live. I agree, it would have been a far greater ending.

  • @imorriso1 I think Baltar redeemed himself when he decided to stay on the Galactica and help repel the Cylon attack, the first unselfish act in his whole life.

  • @ajb7876 Small potatoes compared to being an accomplice to genocide.

  • @imorriso1

But he didnt do it on purpose. He was used by 6 just as every man would have been used by her. :> Seriously, who would not have taken the fraking chance to be with her? xD

  • @dizrupted Seriously? "Someone else convinced him to do it" and "it was an accident" make for poor defenses for crimes against humanity, especially considering that he screwed over humanity acting in bad faith, motivated by greed.

  • @imorriso1 That's is the big point on this. The guilt is just in the line: he was doing wrong, but he didn't mean to do THAT wrong, Is he a traitor? Yes and no, it's just in a very clever plot line. Supreme Court in Spain actually had that issue on mind, because an elder woman killed a boy by throwing a stone to some boy who was laughing at her, but willing to hurt, not to kill. Was it intencional or accidental? Court had to made up a middle status, that was not in law.

  • @ajb7876 wait... wouldn't you call him protecting Crashdown's reputation on Kobol a selfless act? (despite the fact that I doubt Adama would have done anything knowing the truth of what happened at that SAM site)

  • admiral adama had saul

  • Saul had his wife. We are talking about hetero coupling.

  • Even if you were just referring to Tigh as his friend, Adama is still going to live out the rest of his days alone on that hilltop.

  • The finale _implied_ that. You are free to choose to think differently. I mean just because Kara says "He's not coming back either." doesn't necessarily make it so, even if she's an angel of God. I really believe a few weeks after their arrival on the new Earth, a lot of people probably changed their minds about some of the things they originally opted to do, like exploring the world totally on their own or sitting on a deserted hilltop until judgement day. ;)

  • But if Adama was willing to sit in a raptor and die waiting for Laura because he 'can't live without her' what makes you think under the weight of grief he's going to prance off the hilltop and go on some wild adventure? Of course, Eddie Olmos seems to like the idea but he's looking at it with an eye toward giving probably the most fav character he's played another adventure. For the purpose of the love story being served, he stays near Laura's grave till he dies!

  • I'm not talking about going on a wild adventure; I'm talking about not rotting on that hill for ever. Maybe after a couple of months he decides that he'd like to visit his son to see how he's doing ... or maybe have a chat with his old XO. I'm not saying he'd invariably wind up doing either of these things, but surely it's not impossible, and people who have a hard time accepting how the finale played out have the freedom to "rewrite" at least those parts of it that aren't set in stone.

  • @antred11 He could definitely go visit Lee or Tigh. But for me, the perfection comes in the romance of that ending. Romeo and Juliet's ending isn't changed (at least not that I know of). And I don't see it as rotting on the hill, but staying near the one you love's grave. I saw Bill and Galactica as one entity. Their journies had both ended. Galactica burned up in the sun, Adama burned up in his love for Laura. ROMANCE! But I respect your right to change things for your own feelings! peace

  • Hehe, cheers. :)

  • he had his father

  • on earth !!!

  • but it makes you wonder did the itch really just stop or was he just scared about being shot. if the itch had stopped then i think he could have had a good life on earth

  • The itch stopped because he was at peace. He was ready to die. I doubt it would have even happened were he not looking death in the face.

  • So Say We All!

  • I love Battlestar Galactica!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It always reminds me what a cruel thing time is, had they found Earth a lot before - Gaeta would have been one of the good guys!!

    How time changed everyone

  • gaeta was one of the good guys.

his hate for the cylons jus drove him to the extremes

  • poor gaeta. He never saw Earth ;(

  • Well, technically, he did. :P

  • I almost missed this as its labled the same as the first track, I didnt realise it was a totally different piece!! :D AWESOME I remember this in the show and thinking he better put that on the soundtrack

  • Comment removed

  • That is EXACTLY what happened to me!! But I kept looking because I knew it HAD to be on the soundtrack. I thought this was the same as the first soundtrack only w/no lyrics. I think this is my favorite

  • I agree! When I first heard this score in the scene where Athena was trying to find Hera/Roslin and Baltar going to speak to the Hybrid, I just about fell inlove!

  • That was such a beautiful sequence. The buildup was incredible.

Nah wait that whole episode was awesome.

  • That was the very first episode of BSG I ever saw. It was on HULU. I could not believe that this show had been on from 2004 and I had not watched it. The build up to Natalie's assassination was perfect. The editing was awesome. I knew none of the characters or what was going on but I was riveted for the whole episode. When it ended with the hybird shrieking, "Jump!" and Gaeta singing that sorrowful melody, I just knew that I wanted more. I now have every season on DVD.

  • Thats pretty much my story. My first episode was Kobol's Last Gleaming Part II. I had no idea what was going on ("Gods? Theyre polytheistic?" "Wait. So shes pregnant? I thought theyre robots") but between the events in Kobol, Caprica and Galactica and the climax with Adama getting shot, I knew I wanted to see more.

  • This episode hooked me everything. The dialog ("I don't care if you spend your time on your knees praying or just on your knees), the scenes of the Raptors going back and forth between Galactica and the Baseship, Roslin's speech to the quorum even though she is visibly sick. Even the Marines with their weapons, their black uniforms and weapons. Through it all either Gaeta was singing or this haunting music was playing. I was awestruck and could not believe absolutely well done this was.

  • welcome to the club.

  • I would take this, "Roslin and Adama", "Kara remembers", "Allegro" and "Prelude to war" on a desert island and die happily in the wilderness.

  • @AindaMais Your comment is illogical, since there'd be no wilderness on a desert island.

  • @makesyouaweapon Desert island = not inhabited by humans. Check some references (like wiki) before dismissing other people's comments :)

  • @makesyouaweapon also, Webster's def: des·ert: desolate and sparsely occupied or unoccupied (a desert island) :D

  • I've looked this up 4ever.....JUMP!!!!

  • Oh my gods...the electric guitar at 3:37....epic.

  • This particular peice is absolutely fantastic... All the haunting presence of the show is encapsulated in it.

    G.

  • I wonder why I never noticed this track in the show... It's too awesome to miss...

  • It is playing right before Natalie is killed on Galactica and Baltar/Roslin switch on the rebel baseship's Hybrid. It's easy to miss since there is so much action going on while the song's going on.

  • ....JUMP!!

  • When Gaeta is hopped up on painkillers in the infirmary after his leg gets amputated.

  • jeden z najlepszych kawałków z BSG

one of the best bsg's tunes !

  • Thanks, already bought this soundtrack but its nice 2 know its on YT aswell :)

McCreary's work on BSG has been top class throughout.

This is definitely one of the most memorable tracks.

  • Thanks for uploading this! I think Battlestar Galactica has the best Music at all among all television series.

  • No need to thank me! all the thanks I need is you guys enjoying the songs, you're right, BSG has the best music ever, and is one of the best series EVER!!! :)

  • awsome! iv been waiting to here this full song for ages
