As far as parking on the sidewalk, it'll depend on your local laws, but I don't see why this couldn't be parked on a sidewalk (space-wise)... just make sure it's legal for your area. Personally, I would parke between 2 other cars on the street which allows for a faster "getaway" if you're in a hurry.
To answer some of the other posters on here: the trunk is pretty large for a scooter. In fact it reminds me of my trunk in my old Honda Helix. You can easily fit 3-5 grocery bags or a couple big full-face helmets.
Regarding the cell phone light, I assume it works on the same technology as other cell phone charms you see kids use on their cell phones. Incoming radio signals make the LED light up as long as it's close to your cell.
I just test-drove one of these at the company's Van Nuys office. It's as good as it looks, no joke. First batch of scooters arrive in a couple weeks and I plan on getting one. There will be an option of getting see-thru side curtains which attach to the roof framing for rainy days to stay dry. There will also be options for a rear-hitch which can carry one of 3 things: golf bag, extra cargo compartment, or an LED lit-up sign (to be used for mobile advertising, etc.).
no offense, but your a gadget guy and your explanation for the cell phone light is 'it somehow picks up the cell phone signal'? wow, you know your gadgets. maybe it does it by magic.
1- when mentioning the trunk, the camera should have probably gotten a view of the open truck to get a sense of volume. "3 large grocery bags" just doesn't do it as far descriptions go
2- perhaps not a problem in Cali, but parking is a huge problem in Boston. You can park most scooters on the sidewalks in Boston. Can you park that scooter on the side walk?
Can you run this scooter with parking lock on? Because it hard for me to balance it when I release the Parking-lock(My legs too short).
Thanks

Hey Obzelite, I wish I could explain it but no one could provide the information. From what we could it just dedicated an incoming signal.

Nice film. A couple of comments:

Good job.
