  • Thank god for the new airport. The old airport was so crowded.

  • Saw the airport this yr September. BIG!

  • Taiwan is not even a country; it is an insignificant god forsaken piece of land

  • purely? not true, most of the ppl know this is designed by foreign architect together with a chinese architect firm, this info are all on the government website. this reporter has to stop spitting shits from the wrong hole.

  • i love how there's always ppl hating... no i really do love it. because jealousy and envy means that we're doing something right and its the best praise i can get. so there, thank you all the ppl that hate china. :)

  • I hate how CNN alwayz portray the Chinese as simple-minded, brainwashed people suppressed by their government. like, WTF CNN!!! face the reality!

  • you dont know how pretty and friendly china is before youve been there.. i was there last summer omfg there was no polution at all in beijing which i was told by cnn and bbc that there were so much. i could see the blue sky and the sun..

  • gd airport~!

but how come those new airports in china are always look the same as the HK one ???

  • it was the same architect who designed the hongkond airport

  • and fuck you too, you idiot..

  • Typical ignorant response. Everything in China is built to massive scales because it has to cater for a nation of over 1.3 billion people who all take up resources. The level of growth China experiences demands that massive infrastructure projects like this airport, the 3 Gorges Dam, the railway 'over the world' to link Tibet with China, and the north-south canals to give Beijing water supplies, are huge.

  • Well, considering the fact that this terminal will reach it's full capacity in about 10 years time, why don't you tell me the rationale behind the "huge" investment?

I have no idea where you live, but remember you are talking about a city with double-digit air traffic growth each year. Believe it or not, Beijing will be building a 2nd international airport in 2 years time.

  • A huge stupid statement shows aboslutely nothing but ignorance of yourself. The old beijing airport terminal 1 and 2 were well over its capacity no matter if it has Olympics or not. Believe it or not, it is currently the 9th busiest airport in the world even without the new terminal 3. Get over yourself, chinese government is already investing hugely in infrastructure, technology, health care and education.

  • yeah, and seems that most of the investements went to Beijing, Shanghai and big cities cities like thoese. what about the rest of China, ever considered that? i'm not talking about the airport alone, but projects like this, such as shanghai world financial center,Chinese National Grand Theater, the new CCTV building, does China really need these? do these fancy bulidings really benefit regular Chinese citizens?

  • Yes, the govment build road and railway to those place, and bridges too.

Those stuff cost 20% GDP of China.

Govment is doing well at this stage.

and I am sure small city don't need big airport.

  • Go and visit china instead of listening to news only. I visited china last year, and went to interior cities such as wuhan, chongqing, zhengzhou, etc. The infrastructure is also very good there. China's government is trying to build infrastructure to keep up with economic growth. The roads of beijing, shanghai are EXTREMELY jammed. The airport at beijing (b4 t3 open) was extremely crowded, trust me.

  • you know shit, shut the hell up

  • stupid ass, do you know that western companies are reaping tonnes of money of out this massive projects

  • you fucking cunt, totally idiot

  • who cares what you think we chinese like it ... your westernes opinion we dont care...

  • Good work - saw much of the construction work during my many visits to Beijing during 2006 and 2007

  • I am PROUND OF YOUR CHINA, if I died today; I want to be reincarnated as a Chinese-

Great People, great values and great work ethics - you have lifted yourselves - from no ones to proud respectful people.

    Bravo-

wile some Nations send their Citizens to do janitorial work up north; you have invested in human capital.

    keep up the good work
