After all, I think he just needs some time to pick up the pace with the double bass stuff and then on he'll play them just as flawlessly as everything else! Yet, he's still one of my favorite drummers and I have the highest respect for him. Herrera, on the other hand is a very one-dimensional drummer, it's only his double bass playing that makes him somewhat special.

Both drummers are bad ass. However, Gene keeps way better time in my opinion. Raymond had a tendency to speed up the songs way to fast live; he got sloppy and wasn't able to play them correctly at those speeds.

Is it just me, or did Gene really have problems playing some of the double bass parts? I didn't believe Herrera when he cited Gene told him, he has difficulties with some of the songs, but now it appears to be true.

yeh kinda sucks to see him brought down by the songs, but i guess raymonds no slouch behind the kit
