This was a step, and in my personal opinion, was by no means a "stomp". Now if he had STOMPED on his shins or leg, that would be a completely different story. But he STEPPED on his skate and the "victim" was completely unscathed. This is a dumb suspension.

I'm a Flames fan. When Simon used to play for us, he was a goon. He still is a goon. He'll always be a goon.

But really. 30 games for THAT? Even I'll come to Simon's defense on that one. I can't be convinced that he purposefully (with any intent to injure/harm did that or if he was just trying to get Retard Rutu's skate out of the way.
