  • Love your video!

  • Awesome video...love the last shot! Just did my first jump...AAF in my future??? :-)

  • The song is " Inside" by UNKLE

  • @Bambadda thanks. xD

  • what is the name of the song?

  • I notice that you didn't have to do forward tracking in these levels, why is that?

  • Great video. Congratulations to your Father! You need to do the same course now bro!

  • Fantastic video. This is exactly what I was looking for. Gonna be doing my AFF within the next 2 months.

  • Hi, I jumped until aff 4, now I need start again.

It's easy do the front loop and back loop?

    See you.

  • on the solo dive, your shoe was untied

  • Wow that is amazing!!! I want to do AFF also but i'm so scared! I've done 2 tandems but i'm not sure i'm brave enough to do all of that! Loved the story, congrats!! :)

  • Wow, super video; great story. Thanks for sharing!

  • How do they teach you to navigate a parachute? Do you do a tandem jump and does the instructor let you take control of it?

  • @TheMikeyMachine they teach it in ground few days before jump, and knowlege is tested in a theory test before any AFF jumps. Without passing it you wont be able to jump.

  • dude, I have got to find out what song you used during the first part of your awesome video. also, how much did it cost approximately for the whole AFF course if you don't mind me asking...just trying to get an idea of what I might ahave to pay possibly.

  • @MrBcmort3 The song is "Inside" by UNKLE... My AFF will cost me about 2300 that is with repeats. If you don't have any repeats.. you will make out good. Expect repeats..costs vary between drop zones.

  • Great vid! Really enjoyed it. Think I'll have to book an AFF course, it looks awesome!

  • 'Advanced' Accelerated Freefall? The one I'm on is just accelerated freefall :S

  • Fantastic video, thx for uploading!

  • Nice dude you destroyed your fear to make your dad happy.....great son...........

  • Great video!!!

  • Very nice video!

  • @khyea91 I don't even want other men touching me.

  • @khyea91 Thanks. that looks like something I could do.

  • I want to go skydiving but i don't want to be strap to the instructor like some homosexual.

Where can i go to solo skydive without the 2 aff instructors grabbing at my side. I want to do a completely solo skydive with no one touching me.

  • @DeviousBetrayer Buy your own plane then just jump out. Wait, I know a pilot that just might oblige....

Seriously, you need to do some training before you jump solo first time, unless you are suicidal. Jump AFF stage one and see what you think after that.

  • @DeviousBetrayer LMAO.. impossible buddy..

  • Thanks for uploading. It's good to see in one vid what needs to be demonstrated to pass each AFF level. I've done a tandem and I'm looking forward to getting into my AFF within the next 6 months.

  • Dude, buy your dad a tandem jump.

  • @unsupa that would've been a bit easier LOL

  • OH my god xD the instructors are so cal!! I would never be able to be that calm if i were to be falling to the ground from thousands of feet above D: I do indoorskydiving, not real :) still fun to watch though

  • a gift to your father would have been if you jumped together. What gift is that, he still has never done what he had wanted to do his whole life?

  • well done mate great vid

  • Very nice video! Just did my first tandem. I guess that's what's next :)

  • Beautiful! Thanks a lot!

  • This is awesome man. I'm trying to save enough to take my AFF course next year. I even have my chute picked out, along with my wingsuit. I have a question for you...what is this totally rad song you used in this video?? I love it!

  • th for video

im going to start my AFF next friday 10AM :)

    cant't wait :)

  • I'm going to do an AFF in the upcoming summer. This video gave me a perfect idea what I can expect. Which part (level) was the most difficult one to master? You said you failed on 3 and 5, but are these levels the most difficult?

  • how much cost all of this ? Because in my country skydiving is free

  • Great mate!

  • Great video! I did Levels 1 and 2. You made it look so easy. I can't wait to finish the full course.

  • Awesome. Tomorrow morning I'm doing two tandems and then my first AFF jump. This was definitely helpful to me, nice to know what to expect going into it. Thanks!

  • So you have to get a total of 25 jumps to get your A license correct? Is there a time period to do that once you complete AFF? I'm saving up money now to do my AFF next summer, but I won't have enough to do all 25 or get my own gear for awhile

  • at for you midel comb aff for you kingol enbled small big fut

  • THAT WAS BRILLIANT MY FRIEND.

  • Fuck yea!

  • This is an awesome video, man. I'm doing my first jump next weekend and it's good to see all the levels put together to show what to expect. Thanks a bunch!

  • i wish i could go back and do my 1st solo again, that was the best rush ever.

  • those trainers are amazing, how the hell do they stay with the student and yet keep the slightest bit away...

  • inspiration man, im going to go skydiving, tandem ofcourse, never done it before buti will

  • not scared of hights now are yah?

  • Did you pass level 6?

  • Personally, I find this to be the most awesome video I have seen in years. Just incredible.

  • Great job buddy, I am a Military Skydiver in Canada and we used the wind tunnel to learn over an hour, you did an awesome job.....the more you do more fun it is!

What size are you jumping now?

  • Cool video! Today i made my first tandem jump and now thinking about AFF

  • Wonderful video! Just made my first tandem jump last week and I'm really looking into the AFF course. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. Cheers!

  • Superb video, very inspirational.

Your Dad looks very proud and so he should be.

  • @zedr77 did you do any tunnel time during your AFF? Great video btw!

  • @UltraV1olet No, I didn't. I did my AFF in 2 months and saved money to cover the possibility of failing some levels (which I did, by the way, failing level 3 and 5 if I remember correctly).

  • @zedr77 thank you brother! I already did my AFF C 1 and C 2 on Friday. I failed my C 2 cos of my legs not staying straight. My C1 was "perfect" as per my jumpmasters word.

Believe it or not, the last thing I saw before I jumped was watch this video. It's been my mantra and my mental strength. Thank you so much brother! and hopefully, one day we'll have a beer in some DZ (am paying!) Blue skies!

  • @zedr77 I don't jump at the moment due to an injury, but always wanted to get certified. Once I'm healed, my buddy said he would certify me for free(or next to nothing). From the video, you seemed to do a pretty well job and made it look very easy, restoring my confidence to go through w/ it once I'm healed.

  • @zedr77 in all honesty if you'd invested in $100 worth of tunnel time it would have prevented you from failing the two levels. one jump = 1 minute of freefall for about $200, $100 of tunnel time = about 8 minutes of freefall time.

  • @adeonigh you're talking about the freefall time. It's still a huge difference. You will fall more stable, but the main reason you fail is because it's too overwhelming... 'You're jump out of a freaking airplane!'

  • good question?

  • Great video, thanks for sharing!

  • When you do the turns are you just dipping one of your arms to make you turn?

  • GREAT video! Awesome story - I hope to finish AFF someday...soon!

  • Great Video!! Very inspirational! Your Dad must have been pleased ;)

I am going to start my AFF next year!! Can't wait!! Thank you!!

  • Hey mate i'm doing my level 6 this weekend. Was just wondering whether they passed you with that front flip that went a bit wrong?

  • @Maaacle Yup. With flying colors actually. That AFF level is not about doing the flip correctly, but recovering from a back to earth position. Good luck with your levels, it's going to be an amazing experience!

  • @zedr77 Ah i see that makes sense. Blue skies :)

  • Amazing video! Great to see the progression in each drop. So tempted to give this a go - what a skill to have under your belt!

  • Hi! I'm going to start my AFF course in a few days & I can't wait! I'm more than excited-but more than terrified as well even though I've already been skydiving. I've watched countless videos but YOUR video has inspired me in SO many ways; THANK YOU! I really love the song by U.N.K.L.E. but I don't know the name & can't find it- would you mind telling me? I was planning on using Parabol/Parabola by Tool(my favorite band) but this song is AMAZING-I hope you don't think me a copy cat-thanks! :)

  • complimenti davvero, bravissimo !!!!

  • Started my AFF almost a month ago. That was ground school.. then the weather made it impossible for nearly 3 weeks. Did my AFF 1&2 yesterday, line twists on both jumps. Landed perfect on my 1st landing and had to PLF on my second. Unfortunately I ran out of time on my second jump ( jump altitude was 10K) I don't think 30 seconds of free fall was enough for me to complete my PHT's and turns even though my instructors said I had plenty of time....so I redo my AFF2 this coming Friday

  • That was an awesome video to watch, cheers man. I did a tandem jump and caught the disease of parachuting, you pretty much convinced me I need to do AFF now! great work. Do you still jump ?

  • @oswaldnyc I've taken a 9 month break because of a problem with my back (not related to skydiving) and my job (also not related to skydiving, of course ;)), but I'm about to go back to the sport in a few weeks. About your AFF: do it!!!

  • I'm doing my levels 3 and 4 on monday, that's when it gets really fun.

  • Man, it was beautiful! I done my first tandem 2 weeks ago and I can't wait to start the AFF! Your video inspired me! Blue Skies!

  • @mmoniqueribeiro Glad to know! Good luck on your AFF. Blue skies!

  • aff é um aff

  • I plan on going through the AFF program in just a few months in order to attain my A-level license for my senior project. How long did it take you to get your initial 7 jumps in?

  • @expertsonly121 I did all the tests in a little more than one month, mostly because of bad weather. Good luck.

  • I SEARCHED FOR AFF AND THIS VIDEO APPEAR

  • I completed my last tandem yesterday that I will do EVER! I signed up for my AFF classes coming this May 7th 2011. We did practice pulls on the ground since I was signing up. I was also given an altimeter to gauge our fall. I missed pulling the chute at 6000ft. But was given the toggles to fly the canopy all the way to prior to landing. I am so addicted now!

  • all i remember in physics class is

    9.81 meters per second squared!

the rate you fall fall fall fall fall fall fall fall fall.........

  • Awesome video man, good job. Done my first tandem a few days ago and definitely want to do the AFF course now :)

  • I'm about to do my first jump, AFF 1, and this video has helped me a lot!!!!! Thanks so much for the great footage! I hope I'm as good student as you were!!!! Cheers..

  • 9:30 your shoes untied

  • Man, i'm doing an AFF in 1 year. it seems pretty hard not to turn when they let you go.

What is the AFF'er doing with his right arm all the time? just to get the feeling of deploying your parashute or what?

  • @LeanderRandom Hi! Those are practice pulls. You do them to improve your awareness of the position of ripcord. If you notice, in the first jumps I do three practice pulls as soon as I am "stable"; in the later jumps, I only do it once.

As a side note: in the first jump, the instructor had his arm in front of the ripcord, so I couldn't find it! In the third and final attempt, he finally notices it and moves his arm.

  • Aff

  • I loved seeing your improvement from the 1st to the solo! You did great. Blue skies

  • @ kparkerjf & dooley1011 ... Blue Skies ...the time is almost here.... As April nears I wait impatiently for the phone call and or an email. My money is burning a hole in my pocket I am soo anxious to begin my AFF

  • I START MY AFF TRAINING TOMORROW!!! SKYDIVE TAFT!!!

  • Thank you so much for your explanations ! I start my first AFF this saturday and your video helps me so much, thanks dude !

  • awesome vid dude!

  • Starting tomorrow!!!! Can't wait.... did it once a couple months ago, tandem. Was so fricken awesome I said I'm not jumping again unless it's training to go solo. Not wasting anymore money on another tandem. I hope I do well...

  • Im looking forward to my AFF course later this year and since im 15 never done a Tandem im going to be scared to death but atleast i don't have a problem with heights. Nice vid man.

  • Epic mate well done for the upload

  • Hi-love the video-and the story about your dad, its a great video and i hope people wanting to do AFF watch it, as i think its quite inspiring and a good demo of the basic requirements needed to complete the course. I was in the south of Portugal for the last week trying to finish the same course but the weather has been against me, so i will return in 2 weeks to complete it. looking forward to going solo!! Blue skies YEE HAAA!!

  • Hello there!

We're kind of far away. I'm from Brazil and, as you, love skydiving.

I would like to say that your video is VERY motivational and I just LOVED it!

Keep going, fellow! May be someday we can rise de sky together!

    Blue skies!

  • Шикарне)))

  • This video was one I watched many times when I had dreamed of my skydiving dream. I currently have 10 Jumps and still going. I will skydive until my life is claimed by the blue skies.

-Also the song is very fitting. Well done ^_^

  • I'm happy as hell for you bro. I've done 6 tandems last year and I'll be doing the AFF this coming spring. Great video. Blue Skies!

  • Wind tunnels are a god send for new students, I know I feel a lot more confident having spent 10 minuets in one.

  • i LOVE this video!

it made me sooo happy, i want to jump next year with a friend for a present, but my dad wont let me :(

haha looks like im going to have to wait till 2012

this is such an inspiration as well ^__^

also, whats the song you used?

  • Love it !

  • I have watched this video more times than I can count. I plan on beginning my AFF classes next year 4/2011. I have become an information hound on learning as much as I can from videos like yours and becoming a member of the website " Dropzone" After reading the student handbook on the site, I can see what you are doing in each dive.... thanks for making this and the gift to your Father.

  • @Bambadda Thank you very much for your comment. Keep us updated on your progress as a fellow skydiver! Blue skies!

  • @Bambadda I just found this vid and really like it. I have been reading the SIM and am starting the AFF in a couple of weeks. I'm pretty stoked!

    @ zedr77, NICE WORK!!

  • @Bambadda Same time I am beginning my AFF as well, good luck to you and may your dives be wonderful!

  • Really nice! Glad to see you made it! Fo for it, fellow!

    Blue skies!

  • Great video! Just out of curiosity, which three levels did you have to re-jump?

  • Great video! I like the way you "demonstrated" how to return to a stable position by arching. I'm doing the AFF class after the first of the year. I needed to see this. :) Thanks!

  • @uSuckHahol Hi, I failed three tests, finishing my AFF on my 10th jump. For brevity's sake, I didn't show those jumps in the video. An average skydiver makes it in 10 jumps, so my suggestion is to save up a little more, so you can do all the jumps in a row even if you fail some.

  • Great Video, I've watched it many times for inspiration. I also love the music. I did my AFF this summer and now have 30 dives. Can't wait for spring. Check out my video. It covers jumps 14 and 15. First ones without the instructor. Thanks again!!!

  • Excellent relaxation in the door and during launch!!! Most people on their first "legitimate" solo jump grab or kick for air, but you remained suave until stabilization. Impressive! Keep up the good work!!!

  • AWESOME!!!

  • Nice to see this vid, maybe a year dato but who cares xD

I recently also graduated my aff! (9nov)

However all the acrobatics you have to do is to teach you 1 thing:

And that is getting in a stabilized belly down position at all times after an unstable moment, At least thats what they told me xD

Im having a blast atm with my solo jumps.

    Blue skies!

  • awesome. im so stolked to start my aff!

  • hur fan vvågar ni fett läskit

  • Good job man, I'm starting my AFF course in january:)

  • nice one man.

do you know where is any info about the theory of skydiving basic evolutions? i know it has nothing to do with the practice..

  • Comment removed

  • @alecsflava Thanks. The real objective of the Front and Back Loop levels is to assess you ability to make a recovery from a back-to-earth and destabilized position. To execute the loop correctly is of secondary importance.

  • Grazie del Video!!

davvero bello.. e complimenti per l'AFF, io spero di poterlo fare presto!!

  • Thanks for the notes.

  • i lov the vid i did my first tandem jump like a week ago i want to take the next step and do the aff course

  • Makes me feel alot better watching a smooth progression since I'm at the very beginning of my training.

  • thanks man, great video...gonna do my aff 4 this sunday :)

  • Doing my raps course next year 2nd of july ,i have done 3 tandems before the last one 31 may this year from 14000 feet what a buzz, but not jumped out on my own yet, i cant wait !!!!!!!

  • Brilliant, imlooking to do mine somewhere but not here in the uk as its too expensive, has anyone got any suggestions iv been looking at cyprus!!!

  • @Goair18 the next time im in the uk i wanna tandem jump what part r u from?

  • @Goair18 . Go for thai sky diving in Pattaya Thailand. this place is cheapest drop zone in the world and the faculty is amazing.

  • great video.. i love the music too, what is the song called?

  • wow! a hell of a video man! i'm saving for my AFF path here in Mexico, it's very inspiring! thanks for sharing! cheers!

  • how much would it cost

  • start my AFF tomorrow thanks for the heads up mate

  • @melbourne69er thanks for viewing and good luck! keep us updated.

  • @zedr77 my jump went sour fast was upside down for 1500ft then they let go lol had to free-fall from 8500ft by myself was a lot better but with no one hanging on to me and on top of that it was a night jump ... first day doing my AFF

  • @melbourne69er ..... night jump? first aff? read the sims dude "qualifications"

  • @atrain910 i have a dvd of it was crazy it only goes for a 1:45 or something like that

  • @melbourne69er I'm starting my aff school here in about a month, and was curious as to the aff progression... Great video to explain it.

  • very inspring! as a paraglider i think about it for years :-)

  • This is a great video for people pursuing their license; the best I've found yet for the AFF progression. I can relate to your story in a way - my dad has his jump wings.. but as a Green Beret. Thanks so much for posting and congrats.

  • Incredible! I'm thinking about doing the AFF after decades of wanting to. Very inspiring! Well done video, Chill factor of 10!

    Please, must know this music.

  • Great work with this video man! Im starting on my AFF in a week. Cant wait. Thanks for your video, hope you still enjoy the sport. :)

  • Tie your shoe you might trip :)

    great video

  • Tie your shoe , you might trip :)

    Great video

  • Amazing, i kinda learned something out of this video, just 1 question, why did you keep on throwing your hand at the string?

  • @Nokitfer Those are "practice pulls", meant to mentally rehearse the opening manuvering before doing it for real.

  • @zedr77 aha, I see, thanks

  • well done! I start my AFF in September and this has made me feel more comfortable with the levels! Brilliant filming by the way.

  • i totally teared up. haha this too guts. good for you.

  • That august 12,20 08 was 4 days after my first tandem jump! Looks like fun, Im taking the aff next year

  • Awesome video...the camera work, music, everything.

I did my jumps and freefalls before there was AFF or Tandem...your video is inspiring.

I'd love to get back into it.

How about taking your father up for a Tandem!

    Bellisimo!

  • Great video man! Excellent views of AFF. Seriously, what does it feel like? Do you feel the speed, or is it like floating?

  • @joziguy

@ exit you feel the speed and the its like floating.........skydivers know why birds sing :-)

  • I am before my 1AFF waiting for good weather. Thanks for good Video.

  • some good jumping

  • Thanks for the great video!

  • its cool to see your improvement as the video goes on! i'm on my 3rd aff jump now. how were your landings at first?

  • Took my ground school Sunday, first jump friday. Thanks a ton for the video, looks like you did everything perfectly and went off without a hitch. Inspiring and a confidence builder for sure. thanks

  • very nice video, and very clear picture of goals for the levels.

    keep flying!!!!!!!!

  • Well done mate. Thats awesome. Given me a bit of confidence about my own course now.
