  • love the video really good

  • Thankss!!

  • Muy buena, si señor.

  • I must have been 16 when I heard it for the first time, 1976?? Kate is so great

  • This is a flat out great song.

  • Was about 11 years old when I heard this song coming from my neighbours window. Months before Wuthering Heights was released and I really hated that voice! A few months later, while hearing these goddess sounds through that window I was sold...for life!

  • I like this song. She is fantastic. most of all, she is full of emotion.

  • This should be called "the cool synth at the end song"

  • @sillyb1975 Maybe. or perhaps "The Whale Intro Song" Hah. That's what it has always registered as for me, ever since I was very little...5 or 6?

  • looks a bit like lauren out eastenders

  • @ThePoleshift2012 not at all?

  • la descubrí en 1975 y desde entonces la amo... es otro pedo...

  • @ 1:11 fred flintstone

  • She's a total babe and a fine singer/songwriter. Who's the Sax player?

  • At the biggining sounds like a donkey getting anal

  • @12pussylicka

now pussylicka, how do you know?

  • @12pussylicka Humpback whales, actually.

  • lele diariata me xvana

  • Coming from Kent with a name like Bush it is highly likely that she owes it all to French ancestry.

  • 22 people are idiots.

  • Wow.Fucking so haunting and moving, just brill.None of todays so called stars could ever come close to this genius. If only they had a tenth of Kates talent they would be so lucky. She raelly is something special.

  • I love this song with all my heart !!!! Kate bush is at her best with this song

  • I had all Kate's albums when I was a teenager. Does anyone know if I can get them on CD? What an incredible woman. A pioneer. Creative, artistic and stunning. I could listen to this album forever...

  • @MsTeri61 Yes most of them are. Just have to check around. May have to be ordered but they are available. I remember having a couple of her albums about 30 years ago. Hadn't listened to her for years before today. Forgot just how good she is.

  • in the begin is the music scary...

  • @carisjaluf it sounds like a dolphin but i love it it so mystical

  • Ever a goddess.

  • I got into this album 10 years after its release - it reminds me of the late 80's when I met my wife. Wish I was there again every time I hear this...

  • espectacular what else about this amazing creative woman

  • GODDESS! Not form this world.

  • who's the sax player

  • @nevrob1 Alan Skidmore i believe.

  • i'm 17 and i love Kate Bush's music.

  • I love you Kate...

  • Home alone in your bedroom and everyone's asleep music.

  • Thanks for sharing your heart with us. This music goes straight to my heart anyways.

  • omg

    ....

  • SUPERBE

  • Aveva 19 anni quando ha composto questa canzone...grande Kate

  • I've never wanted to be anyone else but I do love Kate Bush. Lx.

  • That's absurd....you ever see Janis Joplin? or Sandy Denny? beauty does not come from the fact they can make the things we love but that they can do it.

  • such a beautiful song,

  • je n'arrive plus à partager les vidéos et la musique

  • that stuff said by darkassain184 is my mum sorry

  • kate bush her songs are so lovely the most song that i like is cloudbusting

  • @Darkassain184

    SAX in your bedroom?

  • !!! SUPERRRRRRR !!!

  • Gods, it's been so long since I've heard this song! Used to play this on my record player in college. Thanks for posting, sunshine.

  • Harrymtsally, I know what you mean, I could happily spend my life hearing this music. Kate is possibly the best of the twentieth century. I listen to other music, but I always come back to her.

  • @atreus4971.Kate is the artist who gives me the most intense emotions. She's definitely the best of the twentieth century!

  • Jeez, just compliment Bush, no need to tear down Amos.

  • I stumbled on this video by accident. I love accidents.

  • Kate Bush is who Tori Amos nervously pretends to be when she hopes no one remembers or has been exposed to the indomitable greatness that is Kate Bush. Discerning music lovers know.

  • She's so cool!

  • kate.. tori.. marina.. I think they're in the same class of kooky but talented artists

  • @lovellespice whos marina? (just interested cause my sister listens to an artist with the first name marina but hates kate bush)

  • @poisonchihuahuas marina and the diamonds

  • @lovellespice hahahaha thats who she listens to! oh words cant explain the look of "i told you so" on my face when i read your reply! whoohoo am i going to have fun telling my sister that you compared her beloved marina to kate bush!

  • Earlier this year, when I was training for a mt bike race, this song would keep running through my head on the 14 mile climb up Tolman Creek Road up to Mt. Ashland. When one is surrounded by only pine trees and nature, one can fully realize the incredible talent that this women possesses...No I did not win!

  • drips with estrogen....

  • @rocknrollphilip

not if you give her ulterior motives.

  • ooooooh the beginning, the sound of whales, send chills down my spine. wauw wauw wauw. and the song, the sound of her voice, the whole thing together makes it so special, wonderful listening to! wauw.

  • there is an intense beauty in this song that you very rarely hear. I think it would have been extraordinary to have been in love with her.

  • What a Beautiful face !!! the mouth the nose the eyes hair and body !! she`s AN ANGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL !!!

  • @thamer23riy you forgot the voice... :)

  • wonderful song. Her voice is so clear here.Fantastic

  • Your an amazing life force thats made many people on this beautiful planet thankfull for experiencing what you have given and im sure, wherever you are, are still giving. one love.

    benjamin.

  • This has always been one of my fav Kate songs. Beautiful!

  • za pozno sie urodzilem ;]

  • Such a great track . . absolutely brilliant Kate.

  • VERY GOOD

  • I find her voice and her beauty somewhat mesmerising, she is a true musical innovator....

  • The intro takes me so deep where lonliness is pure energy.

(Only Supertramp' The meaning intro can get that deep).

Kate Bush, I go very quiet when I'm listening to you.

  • Its in me.

    Its in me.

And you know its for real.

  • There's something I like about her, I just can't put my finger on it.

  • Still one of the best albums I ever heard.

  • i,ve forgotten just how good this lady really is.

  • how can anybody doesn't love her?

  • theres something special, well beyond her appearance.its still there now.no fingerscan be put on it

  • she stuck to her own unique vision, and still does. Absoluely adore Aerial - it's as good an album as anything she's ever done, particular the second disc.

  • Kate is the most beautiful Jewish girl I've ever seen or heard of!!!

  • @brochze1 She's not Jewish ,sorry but her mother is Irish and father English catholics , Kate i think swings to a sorta wiccan influence [my opinion]

  • i remember this one from when i was a kid.

  • You know what's great about Kate Bush? Every song is a masterpiece. Sometimes it takes a while to appreciate each one, but once you do there's no way of falling out of love with them <3

  • I adore this song, it's so atmospheric and even now sounds so fresh.

  • Its wonderfull again to have found some of Kate Bush's visual & musical creations.

She started a rolling ball which others now push .....

Her saxophone ........ lion heart ... babooshka .......... fabulous music and images.

Her talent lingers long after fashions have faded ......... well done Kate still wonderfull ..............

  • It moves me to dancing... i love Kate Bush!!

  • This is my absolute favorite by Kate. Brilliant!

  • um does this girl thing shes lyke a dolphin or someting? 0:04

  • lol i only clicked this cuz it said saxaphone on it but i like her voice its unique, btw i play the saxaphone lol click my name to hear me if you do i hope you like it leave a comment to tell me if im as good as the person in this song :)

  • Great talent, gives me goose bumps

  • What genre could anyone place this in? It sounds a little like Jazz fused into something... I don't know! This is a very interesting creation, the most unique I've ever heard. I've got to hit the Replay button again.

  • @terrafirma91 I'd say Jazz mixed with Pink Floyd like experimental rock mixed with piano mixed with rock (maybe even a touch of reggae?) and a crystal clear voice. Dave Gilmour must sometimes wonder what Pink Floyd would have been like with Kate Bush in the band. I'm not convinced that Pink Floyd managed much of this maturity until The Division Bell.

  • I just adore this song...the whole album is amazing. I grew up listening to it. For a woman of a young age to have such insight...she fought like hell with EMI to have Wuthering Heights released at all.

  • Words cannot describe...

  • Kate's music makes me want to make love to her. It's just a coincidence that she's beautiful. Everything about her is drawing.

  • @Singingjacobus.Her beauty was the cherry on the cake.

  • @Singingjacobus I would absolutely agree, and all I would add, is I think every bone in her body is creative, and I think her music will be played by someone as long as there is a medium via which to create sound, just astounding, and every time I think I have heard every great track she has made I hear yet another. Iconic stuff in every sense.

  • @Singingjacobus Well said. In fact, it was inevitable that Kate would be beautiful physically, considering the enchanting beauty that comes from inside of her. Her songs emanate from an eternal source of the Feminine that is instantly recognizable on a soul level. That powerful force has incarnated as Kate and will always exist, and I mean this most sincerely.

  • @jeffteach Yes, Yes , Yes ! You have expressed perfectly the essence of this mystical, magical woman and her music in a way that I have been struggling to articulate for more than 30 years, Thank you.

  • So talented, none can compare.

  • whoever sheri jackson is... this is about talent not looks, but Kate would win anyway...

    coraclewoman

  • She's almost as beautiful as Sheri Jackson, save her...

  • @kroikye Do you mean Sherry Jackson, who played the gorgeous android chick in the star Trek original series episode "What Are Little Girls Made Of"

  • @jeffteach no, search : sheri jackson being Murdered

  • Nice song

  • this should have been a single with a video, dont know why it wasnt

  • I didn't like saxophone, but now I love it <3

  • It's one of my favourite Kate songs.

  • the kick inside what a beautifull album i could listen to it every day for the rest of my life and love it till the day i die.

  • yes its an absolutely perfect album, for me one of the best and harmonic in history of music

  • @vitalii32.For me "The Kick Inside" ranks fourth, after "Never For Ever" that ranks third,"Hounds Of Love" and the perfect "The Dreaming",the best album of all time.

  • @harrymtsally

what beautiful person you must be.......kate is supernatural...............

  • nearly forgot that song, I listened sooo often in the early eighties ... what an enjoyment to stumble over it here ... Thank you... great !!!

  • Kate had to be a powerful influence and inspiration for people like Laurie Anderson, Bjork, Fiona Apple, Norah Jones, Alicia Keys and all other independant young women that had big ideas, inner-strength and the confidence to take a chance and go it alone.

  • @johnnydelbravo for Tori Amos also

  • You shittin' me? Bjork is wicked good, dude. Go to American Idol for show-pony singers. You can't teach funk & soul. I'm giving you a 1/10 for that lame comment. Fail.

PS Good call on Tori. Fail to me for forgetting to mention her.

  • AMAZIN as usual love u Kate xxxx

  • so beautiful

  • tem razão..é muito linda essa musica tras muitas recordações do passado

  • aceite um comentário brasileiro: Boa escolha de música. O canto dela traz-me paz e alegria.

    Mur

  • Awesome! she is so awesome....

  • hahuaeuhaeh

  • Hopefully not as wild as the hair on her head, lol

  • brilliant song!

  • Bet you didn't know Kate was into German real ale - aka - "You'll find me in a Berlin Bar, in a corner brewing."

  • isn't it "in a corner, brooding"?

  • You are right - but in the song she seems to drop the 'd' - so it sounds to me like brewing. However it was a classic song - and album. I bought 'The Kick Inside' when it first came out in '78. I was working for the National Coal Board at the time .....

  • i think she was like 18 or something when she wrote this album?? & her voice & songwriting gets better & better.. love : )

  • she wrote lots of her songs as a teenager. she wrote man with the child in his eyes at 13 so i think she probarbly wrote the rest of the album at the same age.

  • also very beautiful like her!

  • @ clarrisina: Susan Boyle is a marketing success. Kate Bush is a genius. Don't compare the two. Kate Bush is from another world.

  • Hi

I totally agree, it was not me that wrote it. My nephew messing with with my youtube site. Kate bush is so different to susan boyle. like you said a marketing success. very sorry!

  • @clarrisina:

    :-)

  • she said only they sounded alike, well I don't agree with that but man what's the problem. People get irritated so easily when their sancticities are touched by another.

  • So it is. And why shouldn't I say that.

  • you can say whatever you want. but can't expect she stops comparing two singers just because you want it. well, you maybe can expect it but it won't come true.

  • You should read below to find out that you are wrong.

  • :D i'm not wrong, makes no difference who wrote that :) but it can make a nice ending to this discussion :)

  • YES!!

  • My favorite Kate Bush video is Aerial by OrfeoEmerso, also at Vimeo.

  • only recently discovered kates early music and thanks to youtube i can discover all her videos i had wished for as a young boy !!! had to make do with pics from pop mags...

  • it's virtually all her early music!

  • I did a search for "Kate's Bush". Needless to say this isn't what I was looking for.

Anyway, some pretty good sax playing on this song. Not as good as me, but I'm just sayin'...

  • she was so beautiful!!! what an amazing women!!

  • i think if the sax had been given a bit more depth, the track would have sounded mutch better.all in all,a great bit of work by ms bush.

  • This was her first album, not cd, album that she starting recording when she was 15 and finnished it when she was 19 in 1978 in England. Give her a break please. Just say good song and that is all that is needed. Hell, The whole album was a hit. A smash huge hit and you have something negative to say about it. It was great ok.

  • you're right, I disagree....and the song's called the electric guitar song :-)

  • Maybe it's cause she was so young when she recorded this, she seems to not give a shit about random key changes and stuff, all sorts of crazy stuff and yet not for the point of being crazy. Reminds me of Soundgarden (Totally different I know), Pink Floyd too. Odd time signatures, key changes and such. I love The Kick Inside, and I love Gilmour even more for getting Kate's career going. I just wish the saxaphone in this was replaced for an electric guitar, but I bet people disagree.

  • yes... she was really ahead of her time! so much beautiful and artistic songs... thanks kate!!!

  • fantastic, really so young?

  • I Love her!

  • Kate is certainly the prodigy who proved to be a musical genius. She was so way ahead of her time and contemporaries. She has given us unforgettable songs performed with haunting vocals and captivating performances on her own timetable for three decades. Still wanting more!

  • Just so we all know - she recorded this in '75 at the age of 16.

I know, makes you feel a bit worthless doesn't it?

  • lol, seriously? I do feel a bit worthless!

  • Yes, 'fraid so - and she'd already written 'The Man with the Child in his Eyes' aged 12... ulp!

  • 4 long years have passed since "Aerial"... will we wait again another eight to listen to new stuff from her again? Please, Kate, come back!!!

  • One of these days I dreamed that I met her. Yeah, I know, that's why i call it A DREAM! hahahaha =D

  • Kate Bush RULES!

  • I LOVE HER

  • ME TOO!

  • Who else is enslaved by this woman and her music genius?

  • I am, although I'm due for parole next year, can't see me becoming free though. Kate Bush forever.

  • i am:-)

  • The bird in clannad was enya and her sisters but you cant compare gaelic chanting with kate bush and bob dyl
