Welfare was designed as a temporary safety net. And in it's inception, welfare was supposed to be paid back to the State once the citizen found a job. It is understandable that people can't pay back what they were given because the economy is not what it was. But now you have Medicaid, which is nearly broke, Social Security, which won't be available when I retire, hospitals closing near the border. Look at the Federal budget. Social services outranks even military spending..... by a large margin

A stick of cheddar cheese in Canada is like 8-10 dollars. A six pack of shit beer is like 12 dollars. Gas is sold by the liter, and it equates to over 6 dollars a gallon.
Let me revert back to the point I made earlier. Canadian Maple Syrup is cheaper to purchase in Washington State, than it is in Canada itself. So obviously transportation is not the reason why prices in Canada are so high. It is the taxation.

Have you ever noticed that almost all politicans say they are going to go to Washington and change it. When was the last time You saw any change ? They all sell out quick to the Washington political machine and to all the lobbists with all the money. The only change i've seen is that the politicans have made it easier for the Ultra Rich to make a buck ! I guess money talks and bullshit walks.
