Sesame Street had been showing disco sketches (as well as numerous other sketches from the 60s/70s) all the way into the late 80s. I guess they figured 5 & 6-year-olds don't have a sense of what's "modern" vs. "dated."
sesame street used to really jam back in the day. now its boring and plain. who the hell wants to watch half hr with ELMOS WORLD. thats no fun. i know its their 40th anniversary but it got so boring they may as well take off the air. its not fun to watch no more like it used to.
Looks like the same mirrorball/discoball pillara from "Honk Around The Clock" and "Rock Me(I'm A Baby). Btw- That monster is just too hairy, the human hair wig thingy is just too much, lol!
@Flower76 The floating teeth also appeared on the "Brush Brush Boogie" song. I remember when one of the floating teeth went "You use the brush to clean your teeth" and the other one went "The top ones and the ones beneth".
I never seen this one before, but i love the music, and i think i saw this when i was young cause it was to tell kids to brush thier teeth. but thanks for the memories
This is from the episode where Forgetful Jones forgets the name of the show he's on (that's *really* bad!) Anyway, to answer your question, there's an Ernie sketch where there's a mailman trying to deliver a letter to Mr. Abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz, and another one where Ernie bugs Bert, who is trying to go to sleep, and some others, but apparently Disco Toothbrush is the rarest one.

I think I might remember this one vaguely, if this came out between 1975 and 1981 (my main Sesame Street
'viewing days.') The two 'disco-related' Sesame Street clips I remember most, though, are
'In/Out' and 'Disco D,' and these are already on YouTube (and have been for a while).
Thanks for posting!

Well, since it's a disco, I'm guessing this Sesame segment first appeared in the tenth season (1978-79)

Now this is a RARE one. I thought I remembered every Disco segment from this period... but this one is new to me.

What sketches are shown in this Sesame Street episode besides this clip?
