Did no one mention language? or culture? And why emotions, when those hardly make us unique? We are not necessarily more "advanced" in an evolutionary framework, as the mere survival of other species is a testament to their adaptability. I find that not one of these answers is even remotely satisfactory.

It means to have compassion,love, show remorse, towards not just human, but every living beings. You don't qualify as human if you are racist, prejudiced. Like a baby that shows emotion, and is not pre-judgemental, shows no anger and hate, personal greed. But seeks the love, when he/she is not given. Your life only becomes meaningful when you don't seek happiness at the expense of others.Humans must show humanity, otherwise they are not human!

friendship, kindness, respect, compassion, etc ...maybe in the long run. Pete, and everyone else, heres the scoop, thats no where near the case when your an Autistic special needs trying to survive. Too many I know have been unaccepted because of how they are, not who. Humans, are too judgemental, and cause chain reactions, not realizing certain mental states. I will have to say, this video prooves you aren't bound to comedy, that I applaude.

There were no distinctions made between humans and animals because there are none. Humans do not have a higher level of understanding, we have language (like other animals) but the ability to communicate on a large scale but we suck at it. To be human is to die, like everything else; in the mean time, be a dutiful human without harming others. It's your duty to exert what many people said- love, friendship, kindness, respect, compassion, etc... This accounts for the good times before you die.
