Water isn't flammable because the hydrogen and oxygen have been combined and are now stable. When hydrogen is by itself, it wants to react, but when it's in water form, it's already reacted and doesn't want to react anymore.

Sounds very good in theory, but if you think about it, for the car to have enough fuel there would need to be alot of water, and storing the water would add weight to the car making it less efficient. Not to mention that it might not be economically sound.

Could we one day restore the hydrogen in our SUN? Could it be possible that we launch specially adapted missiles towards the SUN with hydrogen fuel? Read somewhere that drinking enough pure Heavy Water (D2O), will cause temporary, or sometimes permanent sterilisation. Does this mean if you drink enough water, chances are that sooner or later you will get a high enough concentration of D2O so that you can't have kids...?

What would happen if you were to fill a balloon with Nitrogen gas? Would it more or less float around together with all the other nitrogen, or would gravity pull it down because of the balloon's weight?

weight doesn't have much to do with it
since the air is mostly Nitrogen and then a quarter as much oxygen I assume that a balloon of nitrogen may sink because it is heavier than oxygen but the same as obviously the nitrogen in the air

not usually, no. every day, we all ingest a small amount of D2O, but in larger quantities it can be dangerous. In general, however, your body easily handles the extra neutron. just don't switch your diet over to pure D2O just yet.

Thankfully, I probably like chemistry as much as he does, although I lack the vast knowledge this guy has. Still, how many people would know what a Ziegler-Natta catalyst is and what it does. And yes, it does involve hydrogen among other things.
In short, this series kicks ass and I enjoyed it.

Water isn't flammable because the hydrogen and oxygen have been combined and are now stable. When hydrogen is by itself, it wants to react, but when it's in water form, it's already reacted and doesn't want to react anymore.
Sorry, that's horribly explained but it's the simplest way i could think to put it.

People do it all the time, so to speak -- hydrogen bombs use nuclear fusion to produce that immense explosion.
It was theorized that the atmosphere would pretty much catch fire when the reaction was started, but it never happened. It may just be a viable (nuclear) fuel option.

The car would store all the water from the reaction, and by night it would do electrolysis when you plug it into your socket and spilt the hydrogen atoms again ^_^ However, is that actually possible?

Sounds very good in theory, but if you think about it, for the car to have enough fuel there would need to be alot of water, and storing the water would add weight to the car making it less efficient. Not to mention that it might not be economically sound.
