  • wow this came out years ago weird

  • It sorta sounds like Ready to Start by Arcade Fire.

  • I'm completely sober and I have been listening to this song for 3 minutes and was completely convinced that 30 minutes had gone by, I guess that weed never really leaves your system for good :)

  • this song made my day :)

  • the suspension, the lightness - partly due to meter - a cycle of three; two fours and a five - very sustainable structure - beautiful

  • After previously releasing two folk albums under his own name in the mid-2000s,[1] Luke Temple released a self-titled album as Here We Go Magic in February 2009 on Western Vinyl, described by Pitchfork Media as "hazy electronic textures, endlessly-spiraling lyrical loops, occasional forays into extended sections of ambience and noise".[2][3] Temple recorded the album at home on a 4-track recorder, describing the recording: "I just had one tom, one microphone, a synth and an acoustic guitar...

  • Lyrics: Tunnelvision Strange decision Tunnelvision You know you want it all And you never lose You feel you don’t have a proper place to live So you gotta prove It’s not as big as a jungle tiger It’s not as sad as a mother’s People live and then they die Tunnelvision Strange decision Tunnelvision Anything is possible When you’re chasing The useless people in the street Anything is possible You won’t accept your only Tunnelvision Strange decision Tunnelvision Strange decision

  • Well, in actuality, God and The Christian system in itself...Hahaha.. who the fuck am I kidding?!?! I don't give a shit about religion, politics, government, or how the band created their beautiful sound.. All I know, is that I am extremely high right now.. I am at peace with the world around me and one with nature and this music is so fucking beautiful.. I bet even God herself is listening to and loving this track, and thinking, 'Wow can you all shut the fuck up about me for once, and enjoy?"

  • @microscepter lol. "herself."

    total lib

  • I love this song and music video in an unhealthy, obsessive way. Loveeeeee.

  • this song came on the radio when i was drving home the first time i was on shrooms

  • this song is EPIC....

  • Saw these guys tonight with White Rabbits in a tiny-ass bar. Best concert I've ever been to. The amount of energy in that place was just fucking astounding. Catch that tour while it's still going on, people.

  • radiohead influence...? i can hear it and thats a good thing.

  • My first time to hear this band,am I right in saying their a little like Wild Beasts.

  • This makes my heart beat at the same tempo. I like it a lot.

  • I don't really care what the motivation is. I think that if an artist can create work that makes people happy (as this song does to me) then they are what an artist should be.

  • sublimmmmme

  • i love this song! so relaxing. from the way the the man sings to the awesome beats. it all blends beautifully. and the video is extremely trippy.

fun trying to make things out. i dont care what anyone says. this song is awesome. listen to it when your relaxed of mad, etc.

    you'll love it!

  • I enjoy this song more than I enjoy two people arguing about opinionated matters.

You like this music? Well fuck, you're chill.

You don't? Well fuck you, open up your mind.

    FUUUCK

  • See: part of my initial post where I said "I really like this song."

  • That was directed towards anybody that had a burning passion in their loins to express their almighty opinion.

  • Right, sorry, I forgot expressing opinions is forbidden. If you don't want to see other people's opinions then don't read them, idiot.

  • Hmm, weren't you the guy who got on some other guy's case because he "presumed" you didn't think? You also seem to jump to conclusions and think that anyone and everyone is out to get you. Maybe instead of getting your panties in a knot, you should just chill and listen to the music, because I think you just lost this one.

  • @Nkerklaan See, your logic is flawed. How would I know that the post contains an opinion without reading it?

So how about from now on, you put a giant "OPINIONATED" before each of your post so I can skip over them?

  • @mynameismikooo what he said. This is the song my brain plays when i'm in the thinking stage w/e the fck that means.

  • @mynameismikooo ya, cause if you don't like this you are close minded... you are just as pretentious and ignorant as those fools.

  • succhhh a good song

  • Brakhage rules this world.

  • Just heard it on the radio, thought I'd never find it.....Awesome! So much going on in the song, crazy! Video fits perfect

  • whatever happened to song structure? I find myself listening to these kinds of bands lately and it always feels like its just building up to nothing. This whole song is a verse. weird.

  • @rushnik2112 yeah dude the trad. verse verse bridge chorus bridge verse chrous... is totally played out bulshit. im glad a select few artists have some fucking originality/talent and can generate sounds of their own accord-independent of some catchy popular song structure.

all the foundations of music are somewhat like that. at least all of what i consider timeless/good art is. i.e. grateful dead, jam bands, jazz, blues, freeform jazz, lotta folk, etc.

  • areed. this stuff is great, what the hell has happened in the world today, especially music wise. it blows my mind

  • @rushnik2112 have a damn mind of your own and stop wishing all music was a part of what youre government sends out through the damn radio to you morons complacently singing with a smile on your head. get with it. open up. peace and love.

  • There's a reason the traditional verse/chorus structure has endured/is popular, and it's not because we've been "brainwashed" into thinking it works; it works because it works. I'm all for fucking around with traditional structures, but there's nothing wrong with wanting to listen something catchy that meets you halfway. Really, a FANTASTIC catchy tune is harder to write than I imagine this song was.

That said, I like this song a lot.

  • @Nkerklaan I'm not in the game for catchy tunes that "meet me halfway." Listening to something merely because it is a catchy noise disregards the real artists who create worthy music and poetry. There's so much more out there than "fantastic catchiness" and a song's difficulty in being written has no bearing on its artistic substance. No, of course you haven't been brainwashed into thinking a catchy tune works, you just don't think and that is why it works. It doesn't "work because it works."

  • Thanks for presuming I don't think. So would you say the Beatles are for people who don't think? Or David Bowie? Or even Simon & Garfunkel, whose influence I can hear on other Here We Go Magic songs like "Fangela", which, incidentally, is also largely verse/chorus? What to me smacks of not thinking is assuming that just because something utilizes traditional structures or tries to be catchy that it's automatically somehow lesser or "stupid".

  • Of course what you mentioned are not for people who don't think. I said that listening to something ONLY because it is catchy lessens its worth. And I do think that if an artist's goal is primarily to create a catchy tune then their work is indeed somehow lesser.

  • @rushnik2112 I'm kinda with you there. I was expecting a transition or something. It wanders around in the same circle, over and over.

  • is everything from this band this good?

  • @twopoint0

Like all bands they have some mediocre stuff, but trust me these guys are good, and i don't say that often.

  • let it flow

  • Mesmerising! Brilliant song, and the film goes with it perfectly. There's something wistful about it, uplifting and melancholy at the same time.

  • great video & great song

  • Amazing stuff...I felt like I was in a trance during this!

  • b/c there are some really really stupid people on this planet. like frenchcourtson

  • Can anyone tell me why a debate about god's existence is going on here?^^

  • I don't want to talk about God. I just want to listen.

  • @star0shadows what a great thing to say...i like it :D

  • @anothercountyheard Oh hey it's you! I'm subscribed to you!

  • @star0shadows yeah im subbed to you too :D Flash Palace

  • lol wut? the religious has come so far as invading this youtube comment?? Hey yo peace, I dont believe in god, I see things as it is...This clip is more like beautiful patterns found in nature

  • Whoever the creator is for making all the galaxies, and making earth, and making people have the ability to create something this wonderful: I thank you.

  • no prob

  • hi creator, since you created everyything, why is it that some people like each other a lot but cant be together. why do shit situations like that happen

  • when in rome

    do as romans do

  • What if the two people WOULD be together, but can't because of distance.

  • Good job trolling a video and posting nothing relevant to the actual subject. By the way, everyone doesn't believe in god. Hell, there's not ONE person who even knows if the thing exists.

  • Sounds like Sigur Ros covering Bon Iver.

  • I absolutely love this song & video!

  • I get lost in this, and it FEELS GOOD!

  • and the lyrics are ammmmamamamamammamazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    This song is so dreamy.

  • exactly.... it is like remembering a dream

  • homemade kaleidoscope fastened to the lens of the camera? damn l need to try this.

  • such a good song

  • beautiful music.

  • nice video

  • i created a profile just to comment this video.

its incredible. im seeing them the 7th in D.C

  • Instantly liked both the song and video... and enjoyed it from beginning to end. Beauty in simplicity... amazing how hard it is to reach that in art and life... much more when combining formats like music and images.

    Thanks

  • gorgeous song

  • wow, this is great! I've been kinda going for this kind of style in my recent videos! Even taping a kaleidoscope to my lens as well. just haven't gotten my super 8 going yet. glad to see someone shares my sensibility. if anyone is interested click on my name. Kalos Eidos has the kaleidoscope, and the most recent one ineffable internal stimuli has more of the real world influence that comes out in this film. anyway, i'm gonna try and track down more of pecking/Snejina Latev stuff.
