GT-40s were only 2,600-2900 lbs. Putting 300hp into something that light is comparable to putting a corvette engine into a Nissan 240sx. Power to weight ratio is everything. Very nice replica, did you build it yourself? A Ford 351C I suppose would give you around 300bhp with barely any mods and all of the emissions stuff stripped off. It sounds great, and the combo of the base engine and the transmission gives you a tonne of upgrade options for more power if you want it later. you buy it in bits. several companies make GT40 replicas. Usually you have to start with a spesific car and strip it down. then you add the replica chassis bits and you choose an engine and wheels and all that. Its kinda up to yourself how good it becomes in the end. 427 V8 would be a good choice.

The TSC replica kits are pretty cheap i found out. 5,800£ for the basic set. 9.300£ for the rolling chassi and 19900£ for the deluxe kit with everything except engine and transmission/rear axle in it. If you have basic knowledge of wich end of the tool is the dangerous one, then anyone with space can start on one of these.
Im no GT40 expert, but i think the original 427 mkII had 485hp? This is a very nice replica. Wish i had a garage i could put a kitcar in, then i would discard my german project, and start on a TSC replica with a 302 Ford engine. 400 hp is easy on those with quality upgrades. And for the record, this replica on the video has a FORD 351 Cleveland engine. The 347 Windsor can be used as well, but costs a lot more i think. Again, real nice replica. Ill trade you my motorcycle for it ;-p

289 cobra ,thanks for your support :-) The GT40 is a replica and built to the exact specs of the original Gt40!! RHD spaceframe chassis with semi monocoque, Ford Motorsport V8 Engine, Getrag 5 speed with shifting on the right side !!, Halibrand 15" Wheels, etc..

This is a fake gt 40, looks good though, but real GT 50'S have 15 inch BRM alloys and have either a 289 ci or 302 cu gurney weslake ford racing v8 producing 450bhp.

yeah my bad...i got confused when i watched another video and some idiot called it a 351 chevy. Then not long after i realized 351 is a ford engine. But that was too late...haha
